10 plants i tried to fim and they all just grew two tops. This plant got a stalk borrer in it so i had to cut her top out at a very early age. Looks like i fimmed this one on accident. Any pointers on how to fim correctly everytime would be greatly appreciated.

I have about a 50% success rate fimming. Every plant is different. I found that if I miss the fim but didn’t completely top it, the plant usually still grows bushier than it would have.

I have abandoned fim, for straight up topping. You get more consistent results and if you top a 2nd time the plant will give you double the tips that you would normally get.
I’ve got a few plants that i tipped 2 times, and now they have 25-30 tops! Cant wait for harvest season!
