Dried a little quick without the stems. The jar is a bit overfilled so that’s good. I thought it would have taken longer with them being soaked and humidity around 70%.
Harvest congrats! ![]()
Bummer about the mold, at least it was minimal and you’ve got stash! ![]()
Thanks @Twelve1
Thanks @Shadegrown
Buds were beginning to get the bad smell in the jar. I put half back on the drying rack and the other half in a grove bag. The half from the rack is probably too dry for any further curing to happen but the smell is dialed way back and it is reasonably smooth in the bong. Taste is reminiscent of the 90’s schwag I used to get in high school. The good buds weren’t so easy to get until around the mid nineties. Anyway, this is about as good a smoke report as I have at the moment. The grove bag by the nose seems to be improving so I guess I’ll try to revisit the results after that half has time to cure. One thing almost forgot, my daughter said of the handful I gave her from the jar that it smells like earl gray tea🫖
It’s been a while since I’ve updated this thread. Hello again everyone. I have smoked up that big jar of Bruce Banner at this point and taking a break from growing while I was “away”. There were delays with the clones previously mentioned but I finally got the handful promised the other day. Two for me and two for @MysticDragon187
I wasn’t quite prepared when I brought these home and too busy yesterday but got final preparations done today on their 3 gallon homes. Rh is about 45% outside of those plastic bag domes. They are staying on for now until I observe some growth to indicate taking well to planting. Once that’s established I’ll begin acclimating them to the lower humidity. Had to put that ac infinity humidifier in the garbage a couple grows back and have not been bothered to replace it so no bumps for the lung room rh. I’m expecting it to slow growth a little but I think it will be fine. Certainly better for avoiding the molds.
Glad to hear everyone’s thanksgiving was good, those who posted about it. Ours was pretty great too seeing some family that live aways from here at our table. And lingering near the table

After her beauty sleep
Just back scrolling and realizing that I have not revisited a couple things I said I would follow up on. The cure for the BB was short obviously since I consumed it within two months of being harvested. The flavor profile I already attempted to describe as 90 regular middle of the road schwag. Earthy flavor and smell is probably the best description. Although flavor and appearance were not anything to brag over, the smoke was far smoother than expected given a few weeks of curing and potency was adequate to keep the buzz up to the last of it. I tend to get a tolerance when smoking the same thing for a while but didn’t notice that being a problem with this one.
I know it’s a no no but I even got into the bag of infected bud and was actually surprised. No funky smell or taste whatsoever. It was very sterilized so I didn’t consider it unsafe for use so I had to know. Maybe because it was untouched until the good stuff was gone but it was even smoother hitting, go figure. Anyway nothing was wasted. Last note, I had mentioned clones waiting for me a while back. I wasn’t able to get them in time when my friend was given the cuts. When time came to trim his run pre flip, he prepped several cuttings which were finally ready for pick up this past week. Figured I’d explain the delay in case anyone was curious.
Two months of silence begets two short novels ![]()
Have a great week ahead everyone!
I see a little bit of growth development finally on these two. It took until this morning to observe any changes. They sat in the ziplock bag too long before I got them planted, about a day and a half. A couple of roots had browning tips when I transplanted but the majority looked fine. I was beginning to get a little concerned. I circled the most apparent change in the picture. In last weeks post it’s the plant on the left.
Thanks for tuning in, have a great weekend everyone.
Snow
here all day but no hurricanes floods or termites ![]()
Nice we are white landscaped up here until spring now…
I still like looking at an untouched fresh snow, but I’d be fine if I never saw snow again for the rest of my life. It was great back in grade school and all but I really really hate the cold weather nowadays. Starting to understand why my grandfather wore a cardigan indoors most of the year and kept the thermostat around 80 year round. I can’t say I envy your local climate @Bentstick. It’s probably not so bad if you’re used to that as the norm though.
Yeah, and I don’t even live in a severe climate, lol, though it’s on the colder side.
I usually wear sherpa-lined sweatpants indoors all winter, a base layer warm/fleece shirt, and either fleece or sherpa jacket on top of that, haha.
The last 2-3 years, my (leg) muscles get sore in the winter, and I learned that’s a thing with aging.
And the cold on arthritic hands doesn’t feel so good, either. ![]()
I’m not yet at the 80-degree year-round thermostat stage, though.
My dad lived in a hot/warm area and still blasted the furnace all winter, haha.
Gospel
. I think squeezing wrenches and pex pipe crimping tools aged mine beyond my actual. Keep warm up/ over there wherever you are.
The tent is looking pretty good today. Gave each a gallon with plenty of runoff. 850 ppm for the bigger one (top pic) which I intend to flower and 650 ppm for the smaller one with the curling leaves.
I am running a small space heater carefully adjusted to keep it around 75 degrees average, rh between 45-50% , and add to air circulation. At first I was thinking that caused the curling then slapped my forehead because of course that would make them taco. The initial runoff was 5.4 so I guess I didn’t wash the used coco from the auto that shared the tent with BB prior to flip last grow quite as well as I thought. That was my reasoning for doing a flush feeding today. Should straighten out Curly Sue in time. She will be the mother plant for the plan my friend has concocted for preserving the genetics. In short, I will be either taking fresh cuttings back to him or possibly trying my hand at cloning again, haven’t decided yet. Hope the upcoming weekend is great for everyone
The tent is looking good today, growing faster now. I split a gallon between them, giving the bigger girl a slightly larger share. 750 ppm, 5.8 , liberal runoff. The coco was still pretty damp from Thursday morning but they got whether they needed it or not. It will help keep things in line. I noticed last grow when I let the coco dry too much the runoff ppms were way too high so I plan to be more diligent this time. I got a look at the mother plants in flower last night. Wish I had grabbed a picture. 28 days in flower and they are showing some serious frost. I’ll try to remember next time I’m there. Here’s a couple more pics of mine. Close up of each.
Have a great weekend!
Morning everyone
Have you decided how you’re going to train these?
@spankyjr1 I’m still debating on the exact details but I have a rough idea of what I’m going to do. I’m thinking most likely I will have it run horizontal and probably straight across the width of the space. I’m also considering doing a circle around the edge of the pot but I will probably go with the first idea for better spacing between tops. I try to avoid locking them in with netting until it’s unavoidable so I can move them around. Unless something changes, I’ll only be putting the strong one in flower and keep the other in veg for clones. I’m still figuring out where I’ll put the “mother “.
Decision made
When the branches grow out a little more they will be tied to get a little space between where the tops ultimately will be. I had them bunched up too much for my liking last time.
I love it! Well done Sir @OverallQuill80
