Yep she’s gonna be a lesson in patience for sure. ![]()
She looks like she’s got at least a month to go to me. She’s still pushing a ton of new stigmas. Let her roll OQ. You might have a marathon runner there, but by the time those mega colas mature, you’re gonna be setting on a pile. ![]()
Keep kicking it bro! ![]()

I’ve been clipping off a couple of the lowest buds a couple times a week for the last three because I’m a bit of a fiend when it comes to consuming and it’s all I have for now. That being said, I put the scope on the middle of some colas today but couldn’t get a good look because of my shaky hands. I cut three larfys off from different branches and grabbed these pics before tossing them in the toaster oven on warm (not the best way to enjoy but it works).
The lowest buds are looking ready to me and the real irony is the tops are all way behind until about 3-4 inches down the colas. Considering bucking from the bottom up to harvest and leaving just the tips (there’s a free one for kaptain innuendo). I think honestly it’s probably not worth expending more effort, time and nutrients. Not sure exactly how much longer they would take but it’s all white pistils and sure to disappoint as they are now. I don’t think they account for more than a half oz at most dried. Tomorrow’s 12 weeks flowering complete and I think I will go ahead and plan for a harvest next weekend. Have a great week everyone.
Found a couple seeds in the sacrificial buds. I fed this morning and have enough left in the bucket for tomorrow morning. Deciding if I should switch to water only until the harvest. I am aware of the current thinking regarding pre harvest flushing but also not convinced that it would make much difference if it is just for five days or so. I could keep it going longer in hopes that the buds would fatten up more. They are not very dense but again, not confident another two weeks would make a big difference. Also considering last two days cutting off water completely. Suggestions welcome.
Edit: Two seeds found out of about ten buds so not looking to be widespread far as I can see.
Two weeks CAN make a tremendous difference in your bud size, weeks 5-7 are where mine usually get thick.![]()
I don’t flush, have done it but can’t tell any difference. I feed up to harvest to make sure they have grown all they will. Right’s talk about how theirs taste better, and we know organic feeds 24/7 right to chop.
I’m just hitting 12 weeks. I read that a lot round here. I’m not surprised @Growdoc saying two more weeks lol. Probably what I’ll end up doing anyway since I’m stuck in indecision, just continue what I’ve been doing. Just been a long grow getting antsy about starting something new. There’s a couple RS-11 clones waiting for me if I can be ready to receive them in time.
I couldn’t say flushing made any difference when I was still practicing that. I had stopped doing that several grows ago. What few leaves did remain on this plant look a little nitrogen heavy and that’s my reasoning behind the idea that it might benefit the flavor to starve for the last few days.

Oh and, some sativas barely ever get any amber in them… So it might be a trait of your plantie.. ![]()
And he didn’t disappoint! ![]()
Thanks you three for your input ![]()

Coming down tomorrow. Definitely doing a 3 step wash. I found the rot Wednesday morning after feeding and cut it out then h2o2 treated. I did not keep searching for any more rot but expect to find some more tomorrow. I’m going to forgo the big cola harvest victory pics and buck it all down to the individual buds to sort out the good ones prior to the wash. I bought a 150 mesh flour sifter for much less than the cost of a trim bin. Not quite as nice as having the tray that sits in your lap but it’s just $14 bucks and does what I need it to do for small batch dry sift. Hope everyone else is having a great Friday.
Actually, cutting down later on this evening. I just wasn’t up for it yesterday. No water given since Wednesday morning and hopefully slowed any further rot damage. Find out soon enough.
Well the deed is done. I only found a small handful of buds that had noticeable mold growth. I removed all buds from the main stems from the bottom working upwards to spot the rot as I went. Any encountered was clipped over a second bucket until all was removed. This way I kept the visibly unaffected buds separated. Normal 3 step wash for those and a longer soak with mild agitation for the infected buds, boosted peroxide wash. I just reused the wash from the good buds for the bad ones. I have the good ones drip drying on a stretched plastic netting and as soon as they are a bit dryer and lighter I’ll stretch it over the grow net. The entire inside of the tent and everything in it has been sterilized prior to moving the washed buds back in.
Harvest congratulations Sir @OverallQuill80

Sorry there was a little rot but glad it wasn’t wide spread and you got her to the finish line. The temps and humidity were atrocious this season. Nice perseverance. ![]()
