Hey there and thanks everyone. I didn’t even realize it was until now checking in at 2:30 in the morning. I just unknowingly celebrated with some friends after work tokin on my buddy’s temple ball hash I rolled up for him back in December while rolling another 7 grams or so he sifted with the trim bin since I was there. He’d never considered putting the keif to use that way and it was something I casually read about here but don’t really get the kinda yields to try it so it was cool. The one from December has cured nicely and changed to a putty like consistency with a strong pine taste upfront and a nice peppery flavor after the first couple tokes. Good times. Welcome back @Alien_Shore good to see you.

Thanks @Bentstick. I didn’t even check in on the forum yesterday and honestly thought it was next week so you aren’t really any later than me

Had a better experience with the Coast of Maine than the Fox Farm but ultimately decided to make the switch to coco for better control and quicker corrections when necessary. This will be the way forward for me. Watering has been a lot more work than soil though without the benefit of automation but I will probably get there eventually. The flooding has always been there since the lot was cleared in the late 70s but I dug a pit and a ditch in the lowest spot years ago to pump water away so it’s manageable somewhat. A couple mallards hung around for a week after Isabelle in 03 but usually it can be emptied within 24 hours. I’m finally admitting that the habit of running a fan at a window in the back of the house for smoking cigs and tokin is probably having a lot to do with the mold infiltration. It’s got to be pulling a fair amount of air from the crawl space to the living space. Around 30% of the air in the average house is crawl space air so it’s probably way higher here. One step at a time I’ll improve things under there but it’s going to be a while at the rate I’m going.

10 weeks of flowering down today. This one’s going beyond the 11 weeks average and considering that it spent almost a month in preflower, I’m not surprised at all. Anyone who wants to play ā€œ2 more weeks ā€œ will not be penalized  I have not even bothered with the microscope yet. The weird foxtails obviously won’t finish with the rest of the plant. They still look like a couple weeks into flower. I expect it will be around the end of the month or more likely in early October. I’m guessing about 14 weeks total but we’ll see. No new dead spots that I can see although the decision to put the net up seriously limits my ability to inspect. Also I’m still seeing a couple gnats and several tiny grey crawling soft body bugs that are usually seen around the window sills occasionally. No idea what they are or if they’re harmful but something is attracting them. Treated with an entire bottle of CJDBB over a week and they don’t seem bothered. They just hang out in the surface layer of the coco and not ever seen on the plant. I think I’m just going to concede that they are going to be there for the duration and hopefully they are here for the gnats larvae or eggs or something and not worry about it anymore. I can’t get clear pictures of them so don’t worry about trying to ID. Speaking of pictures, here’s two from this morning.

My cheap azz mixer hack working great for cutting down on the time to make up the jacks.

About as good a close up as this phone can get. Plenty of white pistils still for ā€œa week to go ā€œ
Have a great week ahead everyone

I had the light jacked close to 100. The weird thing to me is the way they foxtailed. I’m used to seeing it pop out of the sides of the buds not start stretching again. I will never know if the ones with multiple tops were inflicted by being too close to the light or if it would have happened anyway. I’m leaning towards the former. Two more weeks and then we’ll say that again

Today I’m also working on making infused oil for Mrs OQ to make her gummy squares. I have the bag of trimmings from the hash party Friday night and decarbed it early this afternoon. Got the first round stuffed in the cold brew filter steeping in the mini crockpot now. I’m pretty sure I have more trimmings than we have enough cold pressed coconut oil on hand so I’m thinking I will use up the last of the mct oil after I double or triple infuse her cold press. The mct scares her so I will have my own personal stash.

I’m doing two hours for each round and trying to maintain a temp around 170F. Just checked it and ā€œstirred ā€œ it and an hour from now I’ll press it to squeeze out as much oil as possible then add swap in more decarbed. I’m going to be doing this all evening probably. I’ll put the leavings into another bag and hot water extract the oil from that some other time. The MCT might not happen today either but I’ll get to it soon enough.

Prior to decarbing I used some medium fine screen to sift out a big handful. It was a good mix of keif and powder shake but super sticky. I worked it into a ball of hash-ish lol. It’s not the good stuff but it’s still potent.

Been trying little samples of the oil too :winking_face_with_tongue::face_with_spiral_eyes:

Yo OQ my brother! Glad to see you and the BB are still rocking. I read you had some issues, but don’t we all? :joy: Especially with the heat and humidity this summer. Looks like she’s pulled through and got some rocking colas! It also sounds like you been having some fun at the hash party. That’s funny because I just smoked the one you gave me over labor day weekend. It was a great switch up. Thanks again! :+1:t2: It also looked like you were having a pretty good time tonight. I’ll be hitting you up before long and we’ll catch up. Till then keep kicking bro! :smiling_face_with_sunglasses::sign_of_the_horns:t2:

BB been rocking for six months now, it’s time for her to quit. Remains to be seen whether she will finish without further trouble. Did the hash get soft and gooey like my buddy’s did or was it still hard like plastic? He was amazed at the difference after it got months of curing time. I was pretty impressed too. The ones I made for myself were lower quality keif and I was wondering how they would do with a long cure but I didn’t save any. Good hearing from you @Shadegrown .

Yeah hopefully your troubles are in the past with BB and she finishes up soon. For some reason I get high no matter what happens to them. :joy:
My hash stayed just like you gave it. Chinked when it hit the table! It smoked great. :+1:t2:
My nieces boyfriend brought his nug smasher down that weekend too. We got trashed. :joy: I’ll get you down one weekend soon when you’re free. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses::sign_of_the_horns:t2:

Weekly update, late night edition. This banner has been flowering for 11 weeks now. Took over three weeks from flip to call it fully in flower. I guess slow is her speed and that’s all there is to it. I still have not bothered with trich checking yet. I will start sometime this week and try to remember to grab pics and post them. Here’s a few pics from this morning. I’m struggling to see any progress since last week. Still seeing a few too many white pistils ( not counting the younger top growth.

Hopefully everyone had a great weekend and will be having a great week. L8R’s
