I’m kidding. I know how it is. Get in get out not a minute longer than you have to be under to get the job done. In that place, there was zero clearance to move an arm much less swing a hammer. Respect to anyone else brave enough to make that crawl because you couldn’t turn, back up, lay on your side, nothing. Just hope you didn’t get stuck cause no way to get you out except maybe cut the floor.
It’s just cracking me up thinking about those jobs. Yeah no one was ever planning on going under the house back then. Glad to know someone else who’s experienced it.
Nodding in agreement
Before plumbing and electrical not so much reason to have to go under again unless there’s a structural issue
Out of likes. Now there’s too many reasons to need to go under there.
The customer has been out of the house for 3 months since the flood so not too wet but sludge still there. Bought plastic to put down luckily the drain line was close to the sump pit ( a 5 gallon bucket with sump pump inside) First a mitigation company was in pulled drywall furnace and water heater. The first guy was jacking up supporting the main house beam and he hurt his back (I think it was a back issue ) the fire department had to drag him out from under the house. The second contractor never showed up so he hired a 3rd gave them a deposit they brought material in, 3 days later they came back and took the material out, cust asked why, he was told they did not like his language while on the phone with the office, he was trying to find out when they would show up.
They are at a campground for now but the water will be turned off oct 24
I’m heading out talk later
Have a great day
sounds like a real
show
Speaking of shows, I pulled the plug on my current “grow”. I would not recommend Lost Coast Plant Therapy for prevention and treatment of mold issues at this point. I tried more than double the instructions mix ratio and sprayed (plant covered) with fuzz returning after each treatment. Saw no evidence that it slowed in any way much less killed any mold. Envelor Coco from Lowe’s already mentioned above on the do not buy list. Living vicariously again for a while so keep up the great work friends!
That sucks!
I think @kaptain3d uses hydrochloric acid supposed to work great
Yes, that’s what worked for me.
Thanks guys I don’t have money to spend chasing this problem ATM but before I focus on the inside of the house I have to treat the crawl space and upgrade the hvac filter at minimum. I have aspirations for someday encapsulating the crawl space but it will take some time, piece mealing the materials to do the job properly. I have to focus on what I can do for now which is cleaning up the ground underneath and spraying a mold killer. After that I’ll have to trench the inner foundation perimeter and lay drain tile running to a sump pit to control the persistent moisture. Only after those steps can I start sealing the ground space to encapsulate and reapply the mold treatment. Also an industrial dehumidifier purpose built for this application will need to be purchased and setup and an outlet will be needed for that. Then I can worry about interior sanitation. The tips are definitely appreciated but it’s going to be a while before I can make use of the information.
Ive used mothers earth coco bricks from amazon before. I dont like it as much as the canna coco bricks, but its a decent cheaper substitute
Sorry to hear you decided to pull the plug on the grow. I definitely understand given the circumstances. The crawlspace needing attention is untimely but kudos for addressing it.
I was over visiting my friend yesterday and he was also using Mother Earth (70/30 premixed) successfully. He was trying to get me to take a 14” master kush in a solo cup home with me but I couldn’t take him up on the offer unfortunately. Gotta lot of work to do first before I can get back to killing plants.
Hard to pass up a donation my friend, even if money is tight. Once they get established, its crazy the abuse they can take even if its from the media
More of a problem of bud rot extremely high likelihood once it gets to flower. I have had it popping up basically every time the last few grows. Even the first couple of grows where I didn’t have any obvious rot there were signs that something had tainted the aroma and flavor during the dry and cure. I have decided it’s best to avoid that heartbreak for the foreseeable future and focus on improving the air quality of the living space. I went in the crawl last week during a break in the rain and saw white fuzz under the hallway bath toilet, some orange spot fungus of some kind and a lot of black specks that could be black mold or bug turds. Got a lot of work to do under there. Healthy air for my family to breathe is a much greater priority than a healthy grow.
Over an hour deliberating before deciding best to treat the lung house first. Clones are rumored to be ready in 3-4 weeks so it is an opportunity delayed really. It was tough to say no on that one for sure though.
How easy is it to get into your crawl space?
I just want to know before I offer assistance lol
About 1 1/2 feet ground to joist but I think I live a little bit far away to just pop over and lend a hand lol.
Been a while since I’ve posted anything so first I’d like to say extreme thanks to @Shadegrown for the lookout. That got us by for a while thanks again! I helped out a trimming party recently but arrived when the bucking and ipower trimming was almost done. However, my friends hadn’t really any idea what a temple ball is so………the old man of the group (me) set to work on the ridiculous amount of keif that was sifted by triple running the popcorn’s and leafy in the trim bowl. Freezer to trim bin 3X hence the tri run. First sift 17 gr ball, 2nd 14.5 ball. 3rd didn’t want to hold together as well and ended up going home with me. I’m sure there is a higher amount of fine vegetative material and fewer of the bulb ends of the trichs which name I can’t recall but chilly temp was a factor too. The heat of a hot coffee mug helped some test chunks stick together and roll up nice and compact so I’ll be making a nice one of my own soon as I get around to picking it out of the trim bowl leavings.
Flattened the test sample and cut it down into manageable chunks pictured above. The first and second I did for my grobro were better quality and developed the shiny finish, especially the first run. Didn’t get pics of those before they got put away unfortunately. Happy gardening everyone and happy holidays whichever you celebrate. No growing here yet but “ I got my hash pipe” and it’s terpy AF! Crescendo RBX is nice I must say. Laters!!
I used the “warming zone “ on the stove top as a quick hack instead of heating a glass bottle. Forgot about the silicone sheets we have here somewhere but that would make better sense if anyone wants to hand roll some keif this way. I found that this 3rd sift will compress into a tight ball heated but as suspected it is more leavings and less sticky goo so the ball is fragile and can crumble easily as seen in the upper right. This ends any notion of making one single large temple ball style hash lump but I’m still more than happy with it regardless. It’s still pretty strong and a mouthful of fruit/fuel flavor. Did pretty good in the POTV1 pocket vape on the concentrate pad too. Smoking it is better though and since it’s not caramel gooey like the first run, it can go in my chillum as is, no bowl topping needed.
