Autoflower germinated seed to soil questions/ help appreciated for newbie

Hi,
I am starting my first grow and it will be auto flower outdoors. I have read quite a bit on various things but still want to make sure and get some advice/recommendations from experts/more experienced growers. I just got done germinating 1 seed and have a few more I wanted to do as well. I took my germinated auto flower seed and the taproot was long and coiled over and still attached to the seed. Will this make a difference? Also is it fine I filled a 5 gallon fabric bag with mostly Fox Farms ocean forest soil and also included a few scoops not much of Fox Farms happy frog and then put maybe 10percent/few cups of miracle grow perlite stirred around in it. I then put the seedling about 2 inches into the soil and lightly covered it up. I then put about 2-4 cups of water into the soil right after. Right away it wanted to pool up a bit on top. Does this sound fine and also how often should I water the 5 gallon fabric pot/bag and how much water each time? Also should I change up anything on on the soil mix I used? I have a few more seeds about ready to germinate and want to have the best possible chance of it growing good. Also will this soil mix hold my autoflower over until flowering and then would Tiger Bloom provide enough nutes during flowering to get decent results? I would very much appreciate any input. Probably a crazy long post, but my head is spinning from all the info I have read and really don’t want to risk screwing up anything lol.

Thanks

Alrighty. Everything seems to be on track. Now ya wait! The patience game is hard your first grow. The first two weeks or so you wont (water) the soil, but get a clear solo cup when the seedling sprouts and mist the inside of the cup. Seedlings get their water from the air (high humidity) and not the soil. Misting twice a day is sufficent. After the first true set of leaves, water around the base of the plant. Leave the solo cup over the plant and use it to water a circle. You want your roots searching for moisture. Bigger roots = bigger fruits! Welcome to the growmunity!

Welcome to the forum, @Stoner123. You are in the right place. Use this thread to maintain a grow journal. There are lots of great growers here that will help you along the way.

Everything sounds pretty good except for the 2 inch deep hole for the seed. Its pretty deep so it will take longer to pop up if it does at all. You only have to bury about 1/4" or 1/2" deep. Just need a hole the depth of your fingernail or pencil eraser. Too late to change that one, but good to know for your next ones.

Deleted because same as above

I run 50/50 mix of foxfarm happyfrog and ocean forest with ocean forest being on the bottom have snice it has more fertilizer and can burn seedlings.

Appreciate the input. I seen another member mentioned I should have only gone down about a half inch or so with the germinated seed with taproot. Should I just leave it down the 2 inches or should I try to carefully try to redo it and do the half inch? Its been less than 24 hours in the soil?

Those look very good too.

I would leave it should be ok may take longer to break ground.

Appreciate the input. So to clarify its been less than 24 hours since I put the germinated seed into the soil. I should just leave it and hope it pops up and not try to carefully rearrange it to half inch or less in soil?
Thanks

If you try to rearrange it and break tap root you will have nothing it’s just my opinion to leave alone others may differ in the end it’s your decision.

So I see two of my seeds have now broke the soil and are in the seedling stage now. Should I lightly mist the soil or seedling? I read your input prior here that I should maybe get a clear solo cup and cut the lip off and put in into the soil around my seedling for about 2 weeks and mist the inside of the cup or something? Appreciate any input?

You can mist the inside of a clear dome or solo cup and cover the seedling. You dont have to cut the lip off. I keep it on there until the seedlings have their first true set of leaves. About 2 weeks.

Appreciate the reply. So do I just lightly mist the inside of the solo cup once and leave it or do I need to do it every day or every other etc?

Thanks
