I was unable to find a previous post on this topic so here goes:
Unfortunately I received some Critical Mass auto flowers that have stayed in vegetative state thru week 11. I am growing indoors with other stains that flowered right on time and are close to harvest.
I switched my lighting to 12/12 to force the CM to flower.
My question is this: once the CM starts showing signs of flowering, should I switch my lighting back to 16/8 for the rest of the grow?
If it is truly an auto no problem but if it’s a photo then no as it will then start reverting back to veg.
Sometimes seeds get mixed up.
If you have powerful enough lighting you should be able to continue on with the 12/12 and they will get the recommended DLI
I went through the exact same thing. I had a green crack stay in veg for 12 weeks before it finally flowered. I even got the breeder involved. Some or most May disagree but flipping your lights to 12 and 12 does absolutely nothing to force your plant that’s an auto flower to flip to flower. I would continue to give it 18/6 and practice patience. It will pop! This information came from Enzo himself a 20-year veteran Master breeder for 420 Fastbuds
Here is a pic. Critical mass auto is the short bushy fern up front left. Front right is blue dream auto, back left is do-si-dos auto and back right is jack herer auto. All were started at some time except for jack who is a week behind the other 3.
I have a question about 420 fastbuds. I recently see the comment about the banana purple seeds that won the highest thc content in December for an auto. I went on the site and they were sold out. The next day I looked again seeds were back in stock but now advertised as .03%… why would that be?
Sounds like some kind of typo to me. I believe it was something like 34% THC they actually sent me a sample freebie but unfortunately it never popped out of the dirt LOL
I had one a critical that did that. Turned out it was a photo and had to flip my lights to 12/12 to get her to flower. That plant turned out to be massive because of the long veg cycle waiting… waiting… for her to start her flower.
That was when I was forced to grow my first photo. Haha. Haven’t turned back. Happy growing growbro
Ty i dont know why i didn’t fill them with a lil more dirt from the beginning lol but im definitely gonna tuck those pots. Also should i be trying to trim them a little or not im honestly a little timid to try
