I picked these guys up because I germinated to many seeds and needed something on a emergency basis. Waste not, want not, I still use them to veg photos and grow an occasional single auto.
In the tent this is the light set up. The base light is a Kind XL 600 with 320W and 4 photo boost strips with 150W in a 3x3.
I believe one of the reasons people like to grow autos is because of their smaller size. Your impressive plants and how you grow them is evidence that doesn’t have to necessarily be the case.

That’s lots of power, but where are your other two light strips?
I see in the post earlier hat your using the king 320w along with another black burple and then you have one strip hanging and one on the side (you don’t leave that on the side verticle right?)
All your light should be coming from at or above the canopy level, light can’t be absorbed by the underside of leafs and leafs should be defoilted in order to allow light to reach bud sites.
Thank you for your comments. I love autos, photos grow slow and you have to give them less light due to light scedule, but once I find some strains I for sure want I will grow photos on a meerly cost to quality basis. Reg seeds are the best genetics and photos you can cut your own clones from when you keep a mother plant.
I can’t commit to any strains that much though lol I want to grow 3-4 new strains every grow right now. Mayne in two years or something.
I have two strips on each side of the Kind and the Kind supports the frame the photo boost strips are attached to.
The picture of just the 4 strips sitting on my bench shows how it is assembled. It just sits on top of the Kind. This was the only way I could see getting more light into my tent without entirely replacing the $600 Kind (yeah I know) that was less than a year old. Plus I got to drive dbrn32 crazy with helping me figure it out.

You can grow any strain you want indoors! Thats the whole point! You arent constrained by climate. You wanna grow a Thai plant in Canada? Aint goona happen outdoors… but plant one indoors and flip it as soon as it shows sex and you can grow a smallish plant! The stretchy plants are challenging indoors. Probably the ultimate way to grow stretch pot is to grow the plant until it shows sex, then clone 3 or 4 of em. Then plant the clones and grow em to aroung 12 inches tall and flip em! The key is the clones are sexually mature and you only need the roots to develope. Then… you are growing tropical strains indoors.
And honestly! If I was to grow my dope indoors thats exactly what Id do. Grow tropicals and do a SOG grow.
It is accurate in that I am growing an auto in an unused bathroom and the light set up is 2 blurples, and a Kind flower bar that does have some UV in it.
The Kind and the photo boost strip combo is in the tent. I have a NL clone and 3 AK-47 in the tent.
I haven’t grown many regs but can you clarify what your saying for me.
Isn’t the fastest way to check the sex of a phot to grow it, cut a Clone off it and flip. That clone to 12/12 because I have grown two before and it was like 5 weeks going on 6 and still was unsure of their sex yet jeeeze. I think they both ended up. Being males so I tossed em my luck
Not to my knowledge. Some do that, but photo plants are genetically pre disposed to reveal their sex at 18/6 without any tampering around week 6 or so. I guess you could light stress em? But why bother? Just let them mature. Once they do you should have enough material to take several clones by then. If you end up with a few males, then you you can decide if breeding is yer thing or not. Im gonna plant more reg seed than I need anyway right? I know some are likely male?
I also like to plant more seed than needed because I know some phenos will be more agressive and show the character that I want, and others are just not vigorous or are stupid looking runts.
Hard when space is limited in a tent =p

Yeah it gets pretty full fairly fast. I think 2 tents would give some great flexibility, you could do split harvests, cloning, breeding, veg in one and flower in the other type thing. And you could use one as a climate controlled drying room too.

You can grow autos with only 8 hours of light, you may not get a good outcome or nearly as good yield, but it can be done. The genetics make them survivors.

Yeahhh but that would be a waste of an auto seed =( cost to yeild would be brutal although it depends on how much light you could give them in that 8hr…
my zkittlez 20" tall terminal bud starting to take on flowering characteristics.Calaxes forming nicely in leaf stem crotches …just backed down today to 13 / 11 from 15 / 9 light schedule…done a bunch of reading and it seems growers all have different light times …i guess i’ll observe her and she how she responds…any ideas???
