Autos actually perfer 20/4…some say 24/0…but who can afford that electric bill. I’m just going to do 18/6 from start to finish this time around
Lighting is much more complex then a simple time scedule, what ones DLI (daily light interval) is the actual rating to judge lighting by.
A 20/4 is most common because it allows for most light with a little rest and majority of growers don’t have strong enough lights to push plants. Hard enough in a shorter time.
Depending on your lighting a 14/10 would be fine in all honesty.
An 18/6 is fine with quality lights, that being said I’m running HLG’s and even some more powerful lights and I still stick to 20/4.
