I think the issue was the dehu use. The vpd on both tents is pretty good. Dli i dont have a par meter yet.
Wow… yeah, thats when you let it drift to far. I keep a close eye on them. It’s the soil composition that is eady to get out of control also. Thanks for posting this. I can learn from it.
They look dry. Not enough humidity and the light scorched them
Ok, I will do that next time. Instead of feeding the soil, can I just add more? Im using that fox farm soil.
Looks like you have split water on the leafs… They have droplets on them so my first Geuss is water damage. But I don’t know the full story here so I guessing.
You can add more soil rather then feeding it if you choose.
Water split?
I spray them with distilled water 2-3 X a day and put about a cup of water a day in the soil. Sometimes 2. What am I doing wrong?
Spilled (spilt) water on the leaves act like magnifiers, and can burn spots on your leaves. You only need to spray seedlings as they grow their roots, not once they get them unless you’re doing a foliar feed or spraying for bugs/mold/WPM, and then it’s at lights outs so they don’t get burned.
Plants like being watered when the soil is dry, easy way is to pick up the pot and get used to what it feels like when dry, and then water lots then, until soaked. Then leave until dry, even if that’s 3 or 4 days. They will let you know when they are thirsty! Plants are fine other than that.
This is what I was trying to get at in my frenzy to send before I passed out watching a movie with one eye open after having a couple gummies… Lol
This is my first grow, not very knowledgeable on growing. One leaf has some white spots on it, and 2 others have some droopy spots on them as you can see in the picture, not sure what it is, or the solution, that’s why I’m here looking for help. Here’s some info on the plant. Its a northern lights autoflower, 3 weeks old, Inside my closet, in 15-20% worm castings mixed with Black Kow Potting Soil, has alot of cow manure but doesn’t smell which is a pro. I’ve been trying to go all organic, so far I’ve used coffee beans, ground egg shell along with a little more worm castings on top for nutrients, and I’ve spread cinnamon as I’ve been told to do so to prevent fungus, been spraying the soil with a small bottle either every other day sometimes I’ll do multiple days in a row if the soil starts look dry. It’s under an array of blue, red, and white lights, I have a tiny fan in there for circulation, and point it at the plant to promote stalk strength as I’ve been told. Any info and criticism would be super helpful as I’m extremely inexperienced. If you need more info from me, or pictures let me know, thanks.
I wouldn’t worry about the little droopy spots or the white spot yet, plants to young and it’s not extensive enough to be diagnosed as anything for sure.
A good piece of advice would be exam your plants with your lights turned off and a white color light such as the light from your phone or a flashlight.
Also try to take pictures in the dark with the flash on to share as much can be hidden under burple lights such as you have.
Organics for indoor small crop cannabis is not my cup of tea per say. Egg shells and any other toppings your adding won’t be broken down for months just FYI.
Lesrning about how to grow organic on a small footprint will be to your benefit as most growers don’t go this route, such as myself, due to the challenges vs output. Growing with non organic fertilizers is much easier and much cheaper, while also producing more flowers at the end of the day.
Keep your soil moist, alot of organic biome dies when dried out.
When the leafs go past the edge of the container it’s time to transplant, until your at your desired pot size. After that the goal is to figure out how to get organic nutrients into the soil, this can be done via top dressing or by Brewing organic nutrient teas.
Also avoid over watering to run off, unlike salt based grower you really don’t want to have any run off because it drains nutrients. Salt based growers do this to avoid buildup in the root zone that changes PH and thus nutrient uptake.
You seem to be doing fairly good for your first time so keep that up.
You may want to learn about DLI and VPD, in short print off a cannabis VPD chart from Google images and read the first page on my thread here.
Alright, so no need to spray but what about watering? Do you have a decent watering schedule for 5 g pots?
Wet to dry cycle. Slowly water them so the water doesn’t just run through gaps in the medium you’re using, and water them thoroughly. Then let them dry. It may take 2, 3 or 6 days depending on how big they are and how thirsty they are.
You will see a lot on here about lifting pots so you know how light a pot is when they are dry. And every plant can be different too!
That’s the best way that works for me for sure. The lift test. That way there’s no really “guessing”. You’ll learn your plants as well. Which ones drink more and whatnot. I have a little 1 gallon that only gets watered once a week and the other one gallon is watered every 2-3 days.
Don’t allow coco to get completely dry, as it will sick the moisture out of the plant, but it can get fairly dry.
Soil can get dry.
Soil takes much longer to get dry vs coco though
Thank you so much!!!
Hey Nicky, D here I’m new to the group hopefully to stay… I wanted to know if it’s worth keeping this girl she is about 6weeks or so Auto Amnesia Haze… Rough start tho nd only had miracle grow to work with at the time… Honestly a lot of things went the awry, eventually I leveled it all out and this is the results as of now… What do think? Nd second, should I defol her right now so that the light could touch all bud sources…
Keep it until your other plants are bigger and need the lighting.
A plant can rebound, just need to focus on getting it in nrttr shape.
I don’t defoilate until flowers look like little fuxxy stars. To ehvih I then lollipop and defoilate
