So Walmart had a bunch of gardening stuff on clearance and most of it wasn’t very useful
But I got a bottle of Arber Bio Fungicide for $5 thanking "that’s super cheap and the active ingredient is the same as Hydrogaurd.
I get home and read the instructions and it explains how to use it as a Fungicide foliage spray
and says nothing about root inoculation
Hydrogaurd says nothing about foliage spray and is of course a root inoculant that most all of us are familiar with…
Dose Anyone have experience with this product?
Can i use it like i do Hydrogaurd or is it different and i just don’t understand the difference
"Hydrogaurd

No experience with that brand but use a very similar product called Southern Ag for my hydro runs and auto pot reservoirs. Definitely helps on these set ups when controlling res mix temps creep north of 72 degrees or so

Looks like it can be used just like hydroguard as a root inoculant.
I found this on Arbers website.
" For optimal results use in your regular watering cycle. Also ideal for: transplants, potting mixes, as a rooting compound or in hydroponics
Mix: 0.25 oz Arber concentrate with 32 oz water or 1 oz Arber concentrate with 1 Gallon of water, Apply directly to soil or apply to leaves. One application every 10-14 days for wellness and every 5-7 days for major disease control."
The pamphlet says nothing about soil use.
I did learn something possibly useful from this that I didn’t know.
“Bacillus amyloliquefaciens” can supposedly be used as a foliage spray to treat WPM amongst other things
That’s probably not new info fir every one but it is me
@OGIncognito I’ve seen others talk about the Southern Ag stuff before and how it’s cheaper then Hydroguard.
I dropped hydrogaurd from my autopots reservoir a few cycles ago and was useing just h202 regularly. And it seemed to work great but then i got some kinda pathogen that seemed to not mind it at all
I just couldn’t get the slime to go away
I tore everything down to the bits and soaked it in bleach and I’m going try the Bacillus amyloliquefaciens route again…

That’s a strange one with H2O2. So far so good with Southern Ag in both of my reservoirs

Seems to work for pm for me outdoor, as everything that didn’t get it, got pm. I also use the arber bio insecticide at the same time as the fungicide in a dual foliar mixture once a week and after any rains. Apply at dusk or dawn.
