Anyone using "grove bags" to cure?

So I would only need that first Jack’s since I already have silica blast and a cow mag I’m weaning off of the bergman’s right now and need to replace it with a suitable one for budget

Great prices when you go directly through them in PA…but their shipping is a killer. What did you pay for shipping?

Silica isn’t a replacement for Jacks Part B…you need all three listed above along with Silica Blast & CalMag as needed. If you want to save a few bucks, look for Jacks on eBay. They have people that sell the three components in smaller quantities that they make up from the larger 25lb bags. That’s how most people start out with Jacks…3lb, 4lb, 5lb, 6lb kits.

And for those of us who forget about our burping jars – oh, the learning curve … :scream:
These sound like a good idea. They also might take up less room in storage.

I have 8 plus ozs curing in bags now (5 weeks) i just bag them when at 11% moisture contant and forget about them for a month or so and they are ready about now thru next 2 weeks or so.

When “what” is 11% moisture content?

I paid $19.41…but that was before all this inflation and cost of gas/diesel. Can’t imagine what it is now.

So I found a all the jacks nutes listed above, so with them u use them for whole life of plant? Because I been using bergman’s and they have a different one for each stage, seedling, veg, flower, and late flower…so jus looking for someone to learn me

Yes for the whole life of the plant. Some people increase the numbers a bit during flowering like doing 431. During flower I also use flower fuel albeit I use half the recommended dosage. For microbes I use tribus every feed. To feed the microbes I use recharge and lumina as recommended. I stop using recharge during flowering.

11% is the sweet spot for the reading on a moisture meter when testing to see if the buds are dryed correctly for putting into the grove bags.

Its a technique that Grove Bags recommends.

@GrnyGrows I have a fairly complete reference about it here:

Do you only use the meter when using the bags?

The use of the meter is just to evaluate dryness. Where you cure them is up to you ie: jars, bags or any other container.

Nope. Works perfectly for jars as well.

Maybe this will help as you dive into Jacks…it’s explains the 3-2-1 dosing (80%) and what you can mix with it as your plant grows. It’s all about the dosing. Buy a good gram scale on Amazon, they’re under $30. When starting out, try to stay on the lighter side as you introduce these nutrients to your plant…maybe at 30% to 50% and go up gradually from there as you let the plant tell you if it likes that dose.

DON’T ever think…‘if a little is good, more is better’. That’s a recipe for disaster…aka: yellow leaves.

Awesome thanks, I ordered some last night so.

If anyone was wondering about sweating

I jus realized that it’s like this, but anyone seen one that only has three point leaves

im getting that XL for next harvest

“Cannabis leaves usually change the number of fingers/points on their leaves as they mature. The number we’re most familiar with seeing is the leaf with 7 points, but cannabis leaves can naturally grow leaves with 1-13+ points!” Article Why Some Pot Leaves Have More "Fingers" Than Others | Grow Weed Easy
