Anyone using "grove bags" to cure?

thats awesome

Ok, dumb question. I’m about to harvest, do I assume the RH of the bud is the same as the RH if the room right before I put it in the bag?

No its always smart to put a rh meter in the bag for at least 12 hours to get a more accurate reading, it’s to easy to jump the gun and put in buds with to wet of a core

Okay, makes sense. So close to the room RH and then check for awhile. But still after the drying time of ā€œsnap a branch to tell if it’s ready to cureā€?

That’s what I’ve read lately.

I recommend reading up on using a moisture meter. It would answer all your questions reguarding the moisture content inside the bud. Also identify exactly when to bag the buds.

I use one of those… details here:

The moisture meter was a game changer for me! Was able to get the buds at exactly the correct moisture for proper curing. Best cures i ever had.

thats the one i got and its works great and they accidentally sent me 2 lol

That’s a good problem to have. :joy: I also use the same moisture meter. Definite game changer for me as well

makes it easy, thanks to @Newt for sharing it.

Going to go ahead and try the moisture seeker. :ok_hand:

You won’t regret it. Good luck and happy growing

I noticed their website says to take the reading at the stem. Where did you take your reading with the probe. I am chopping this week and have a moisture meter. Want to use it right when the time comes.

Put the 2 points into the bud, take several readings alont the length of the colas.dont check the STEMS only the buds. I get an average on any given cola.

Great thanks…I assumed that is what they meant…but you know what they say about assuming.

This. And I go ahead and take smaller buds when they get in range, leaving the larger ones until they get in range. Get a nice even start to curing that way.

What @Audiofreak said :+1:

Think that was a bit from Cheech and Chong

Have some new info (to me) on the bags. I placed an order the other day and in chatting with the Rep he mentioned not stuffing the bags to the top, but to leave air space for them to set up thier "micro-climate. ā€œThier reasearch has led to this recomendationā€. He says a good improvement. Just passing it along.

Oh ya they took care of me for the picture! Score!
