I have heard a lot about Lucas formula and read about it. But it seems to be tailored for soil grow. But i hear mention that there is a modified formula for growing in coco. If anyone has it or knows where i could find it that would be outstanding. Something I’d like to try down the line. Thanks in advance grow dudes.

Lucas was for add back hydro grows but works well in coco as is

I’m not sure that such a thing exists. NPK ratios and micronutrient needs remain the same for a plant regardless of the grow media used.

Pretty much mix your Lucas formula up add Cal/mag per gallons of nutes and go. I was doing silica/Lucas/cal mag

Okay. That is just a different approach. Many growers buffer their coco for cal and mag instead, and then just leave the feeding proportions the same. I don’t see the logic in altering NPK ratios to address a potential cal/mag issue in coco.

That’s what i do i buffer coco with calmag first. I wasn’t totally sure why it was changed. Like i mentioned they called it the modified formula. I do my research and don’t try something until i get some opinions. I’ve never used lucas formula so I had no idea why they changed it. If thats all they were doing then i agree with you just add calmag like @StonedCold13 had said, simple enough. Thanks for clarfying appreciate it

So i got one more question for ya. Do you use that strength that Lucas calls out even when the plants are young and not very developed? @StonedCold13

I usually grow out clones so I start them at full strength 
For seedlings start at 1/4 strength see how they react and go up from there

That site is awesome bro, that’s what i was talking about. I couldn’t remember but the Iron Head formula is what i read they were calling a modified Lucas. That site is great answred so many of my questions. I appreciate all your help dude. Hopefully i can grow buds that look as good as yours someday.
