I’ve heard of people making tea out of the roots from their plants and other tinctures and such does anyone have any insight on what to do with them? As always any and all feedback is more than welcome!! What better place to ask than the forum of experience and knowledgeable people right!
The last grow was in coco and I was using Sensizym, Voodoo Juice and Piranha. I left the stem and everything to dry out in the fabric pot for a couple of weeks. I pulled on the stem and it popped right off. There were absolutely no roots to be found. The Sensizym did its job and essentially recycled the roots. I mixed it in with some fresh for the next grow.
Right on I’m more interested in doing something with the roots as opposed to composting them just curious if anyone in the forum has done anything with them and how they went about it and to what result if any.
Idk but I don’t think the roots really have anything special to them. I have no idea for sure, but I have never once in my life heard of a cannabis root product…
Better off drinking unsweetened green tea.
Which could be a fun grow!
You never know right? Can’t remember for the life of me where I came across the link to it but who knows. I’ll try and find it again it was on YouTube I think. I’ll pack another bowl and go searching.
Yeah I found it the YouTube channel is growers helping growers. Check it out!!!
The soil would have almost no nutrients after a grow. I always start with new soil and toss old root ball into my outdoor garden or flower beds
I reuse my soil and keep the small roots in and add amendments.
Maybe @Cannabian may know something
“10 Things You Never Knew About Cannabis Roots | Green Flower News” 10 Things You Never Knew About Cannabis Roots | Green Flower News
So who knew
I thought for sure they was junk but a quick Google search suggests otherwise
“The pentacyclic triterpene ketones in cannabis roots are also thought to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, in cancer cells. Though the research is minimal, cannabis roots may prove to possess effective cancer-fighting properties.”
Nice!! Who knew lol
Know what?
What 2 do with roots from the plant.
I recall you saying something close 2 it.
Oh… yeah some folks use the roots for medicine. Others compost them. I typically remove them and compost them. There was a person that wanted to make a topical creme from them but…
Oh hey! The first cut off the Lebanese plant is hanging!
Wow that’s alot for the little you trim
The rest of the plant is still maturing . I do a basic pluck and sorta trim… then I dry it. After it reaches dryness I desire, and before jarring, then I do a second trim. That trim can be used for oil or edibles as it isnt cured. The bud will cure for 6 weeks at least before its even smokeable. I typically save the very best for gifts and the odd joint I roll with hash. And the rest I make hasish out of by dry sifting. That dry sift is rilled into a ball and sealed in organic cellophane and place in a sealer jar in the fridge for another 3 months. Then I use turkey wrap and a 2 litre wine bottle filled with boiling water and roll the shit out of it for around 45 minutes or so. That is my preferred smoke. The rest goes to the witch doctor for edibles and creams. And yes there is a lot off of 4 plants that average around 2 pounds a plant dried! I cant possibly smoke that much, so only keep the very best.
Just booked marked that information. Personally never smoked it and definitely will try it thank you
Wow only 2 dude 4 that huge girl
