I saw a study a few years (prob like 20 years ago, but who’s counting) that said that certain types of music actually made plants happier and grew better with it than without. So my question is, ‘has anyone noticed this and if so, what music helps promote growth and which type hurts it?’. there was also a study which said that talking to you plants helps them. Now I can believe that one since plants love CO2 which we breathe out, so talking to them up close and personal should be a good thing yes? So if you play music for your plants, what music do they respond best to?
sorry, I just ran across this post. It looks comprehensive so please disregard.
Just a small violin on harvest day sorry jk, I had too…
Why yes i do. Just a tip though NO old contry or NO Rap. I had 2 plants toss another plant off the shelf after a Rap song then i played some old contry and one of my girls jumped off the shelf herself! They get acoustic jazz now nice and mello.
I read an article in high times years and years ago about playing certain music in the grow room. Something about the frequency helping the plants grow. I went into a grow shops a few weeks after that and asked the owner if her had heard about it.
The dude straight laughed at me. After that experience I never looked into it again.
But…. I do recall about 20 years ago a few study’s about that being published. Idk anything about it. I personally don’t think you would ever see a significant advantage at all. Sorry man!
Happy growing…
When I had the indoor grow I left classicai on the whole time they were there.
Now I sing to them in the garden love songs of my creation.
They haven’t strangled me with their vines yet so I think its ok.
