Blue Dream is the one that never impressed me no matter who I bought it from. As a matter of fact, I actually want to grow one out with sound genetics because whenever I see gushing reviews I ask myself have I only got poor examples???
Wow them plants look good in yalls grows. Maybe it ain’t got that ringer? Didn’t say why. If it was something I grew I wouldn’t put it on this list. I guess that lets seed banks off the hook.
Had dispo weed that ain’t great but not really bad. Except mold one time.
Back in the day lol 2 options were hydro and outdoor. The outdoor was bunk weed always leafy and ya need 3 cigarettes-sized joints to get stoned and it’s probably carbon monoxide poisoning because it came with headaches from smoking 3 grams of “flower”.
So that’s the worst. Outdoor from decades ago. Grown in the Bay in peat moss and miracle Grow, they got all kinds of crustacean by-products too but nope it didn’t catch on, maybe by now, so there’s my worst weed ever but it always met expectations
For me it was Purple Haze. It was described as an euphoric strain, almost psychedelic…
I grew some outside. The plant was gorgeous and super nice, huge frosty buds. I even won a BOM for it… But the effects were far from the description for me.
I grew 4:20 fast buds blue dream. It was definitely purple, tasty, and really Frosty. I was definitely satisfied and the high was way more than I expected.
That’s what’s always surprising to me, even at my favorite dispensary, where every strain looked like it was a textbook example, I found Blue Dream decent but nothing I’d go out of my way for. I might have to grow 4:20 fast buds blue dream and see what I think
Runtz , Girl Scout cookies, honestly anything lacking a terp punch, I feel there’s been too much over commercialization and too many growers focusing on profit, bag appeal , and thc numbers, breeding for wash return rather than aroma and effect etc. all these factors have played a roll, what were left with is overbred strains that have no BALANCE and a great number of young growers who don’t understand the concept of overall balance over simply high thc percentage, they did a massive study on dispo weed and found only 3 distinct terpene profile categories that ALL the weed could be sorted into…. Also commercial growers often rush drying, skip cures , and push their employees to harvest early, these 3 factors alone make for a very different smoking experience, without proper maturation and cure time for the cannibanoids to develop further much of that old school slap is lost, in short my favorite strains are anything pre 2015 grown by someone like yall or at least that’s my opinion lol
Blue dream isn’t loved for it’s strength of effect but rather prized for its resilience, easy growing, heavy yields, and distinctly enjoyable flavor profile “ blue dream” is a “ dream” to grow and it is blue in color, it’s a famous cultivar and flavor, not a resin dumping strain but a nice mild but enjoyable smoke for those who appreciate easy growing and a tasty smoke, and if it’s from a dispo then yes you probably have not yet had a “ great” example, but at a modest 14-20 percent thc just keep in mind it may not be the frostiest thing you ever grew
High thc content. There’s never anything particularly good about it. I’d rather smoke something 12% that has unique flavor and take a couple of extra rips.
