Any ideas or help on cal-mag deficiency in flowering

Sorry first post. Not sure I am in the right area.
But…
I’m growing two jet fuel g6 auto flowers indoors. Flower time 9-10 weeks.
I have read and found out mid flower stage. (5-6) week. That using r/o water my ladies have been neglected of some serious calcium intake.
Also my soil ph is down to 4.20-4.13 range.
I’m in strawberrry fields fox farm soil.
My leaves are starting to show their disapproval of my skills and knowledge.

I guess my question is should I flush and try to get the ph it needs so late in flowering. Will it help or just be sound mind and my yield is already beat up?
Auto flower jet fuel g6
5 gallon pot
Strawberry field fox farm soil.
Vipraspec led 300
Tiger bloom 2.5 teaspoons per gallon.
Cal-Mg sensi seed. 2.5 teaspoons (not sure it’s working my ph level low)
Water in at 6.5 ph
TDS runoff ppm 924
Temps 75-77 humidity 43-46
Watering every two days half a gallon nutes every. Other watering.

Soil test
Low for n
Low for p
Low for k

Any help would be awesome thanks y’all.

Could you take some pics under natural/normal lighting? The blurple throws everything off.

Sure thing. It looks worse under led. And didn’t get a pic of leaf I clipped this morning and now it’s wilted and can’t really see the damage.
Do these pics help ?

How sure are you of your meter’s accuracy? With a pH of 4 ish I’d be expecting some major issues. Have you done, can you do a slurry test?

There does appear to be a touch of calcium deficiency. Not terrible. Should be easily correctable.

The dark green leaves certainly aren’t showing any nitrogen deficiency

Your runoff ppms are kind of low. .

I have done a slurry test I think. I went about 3-4 inches into soil scooped out some

and mixed that with 5.1 part distilled. My ph came out at 4.5
That’s one of the clipped leaves from bottom of plant. And two days ago totally lost the center leave on one and the browning yellow color was right up the center of leaves reaching out.

Have you tried to recalibrate your PH pen.

Sorry didn’t answer meter part but it seems to read around the same thing maybe a little difference. The soul test read between a 5-5.5
Maybe I’ll run a test on meter.

I agree with @Drinkslinger they look pretty good. My first thought was meter might need to be recalibrated

I would Def. calibrate than re-check just to be sure under normal light they don’t look too bad off honestly.

Yup. Recalibrate. Then proceed.

Just recalibrated the meter Vivosun ph yellow meter. Maybe I’ll run a soil test again. It’s been a short since I tested the soil with powder capsule. I did both once and felt they were within range of each other (results) so I have been just using meter in slurry as my checker.

Thanks y’all. We shall see.:grimacing:

Be sure to let the slurry sit for at least 15min before testing.

You have to recalibrate those VS pH meters about once a week.

Thanks again for all the help recalibrated and did a rapid soil test. I suck at the color chart but it’s def higher the 5.5.

So I’ll keep up the cal mag because of the r/o and run it out.
Cheers

Geez that was giving me anxiety. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Judging by the picture I would say you are right around 6.3 to 6.5 IMO. I would say your right where you need to be but to be sure make you a soil slurry and test the ph with your recalibrated pen after the slurry has set for 15 mins

You can do a slurry test with a pH meter. Pretty much the same way.

Good luck. Tag us if you need more opinions in the future.

Oh yeah, once again, I see no nitrogen deficiencies.

Is calmag the first thing that you’re adding to your water? If not it should be.

the burnt tips and deep green suggest a surplus of N, this could be a signal that the nutrient loading is out of balance. Once the OP concludes the PH test it would be a good idea to test for EC, and perhaps do a ph balanced flush to reset the correct nutrient balance. Oh and please get a decent light! Blurples are painful.

Welp out of no where they went to yuk.

Uhhgh. And still have time to mature. Not sure they will come out to well.

Ph down no N in soil which I assume is the ph low locking it out. But I assume.

What does make soil slurry mean
