Any ideas on these mystery seeds?

I have been browsing around the site, trying to find anything that would show me how to figure out what kind of seeds I have. My 75 year old dad gave me these seeds yesterday. He got some free weed from a friend for his Parkinson’s and even his friend doesn’t know what it is. I started germinating 18 of them in an egg carton today and what I have left is in the pic.
Also, should I keep them separated from my fem seedlings that I already have growing? I think I will do a separate journal for them if they getminate.

No way to look at seeds and tell strain or if they are male or female. If you grow them out once leaves start to develop you can basically tell by leaf size and characteristics if it’s sativa or indica dominant. As far as separation from fem plants, as long as you know which are which by labeling them shouldn’t be a problem until you can determine if plants are male or female. I’m assuming you know that once they show male parts, to get them away from females quick, fast and in a hurry.

Take a closer look at this one in the back. Is it covered in mold?

It was actually part of the outer covering of the seed. I peeled it off. I haven’t seen seeds from a bag since the 80’s. I got a close up of it because the only plant mold I have ever seen was white, fuzzy and slimy. Does it still look like mold? I separated it from the others.

Thanks for the responses. I really appreciate it. I do know to get the males away. If anyone wants to follow the unknown seeds’ growth, I am going to do a separate journal for them. I will attach a link on this thread when I start it later today.

Looks like some seed pod stuck on it rather than mold

Are these seeds from a recent “bag”, or are they from some vintage stuff?

It was a recent harvest. I just checked on the ones I started germinating. Some have already started to peek open and one has the beginnings of a tail. That one I gently covered with soil (HF) and sprayed light with just water at a PH 6.2.

They are most likely regular seeds or product of hermaphrodite pollination. If you’re not prepared to deal with pollen sacs I would try to keep them separate.
