Any experience with a Decarboxylator?

Thinking about something like this:

Ardent FX Decarboxylator

Not interested in throwing away that much money. Looking for any experiences, good or bad.

Thanks in advance!

I know for about $2, a half gallon ball jar, lightly sealed in the Oven gives off very little odor until you open it. Works excellent.

Someone on here uses one I’ve seen it but honestly a glass tupperwear In the oven works fine… No smell

Right, I get that, but apparently, this can also do your infusion for you.

Ahhh, I see - my bad, convenience gadget.

I do my infusion/Everclear soak right in the ball jar after its cooled and been in the freezer. Also done coco-oil in a double boiler right in same jar, right out of the oven. But i’m old and low tech.

That is an excellent description of my interest in it… A convenience machine.

I know another person on here uses it and loves the ease of it.

Here is the true rating (remember to filter amazon reviews from bot reviews)

If you have prime you have 30 days. Just be sure you use it right away

Have prime. If I pull the trigger, I’ll post back.

I own an ardent and although is a bit pricey but I tell you what I absolutely love the fact that I just set it and forget it.
And there is no smell either.
Love my ardent :two_hearts:

Awesome. And do you use it to do the infusion as well? Can it decarb bud that hasn’t been dried?

I make small amounts of coconut oil or avocado oil .
But yes you can infuse but small amounts.
I own a magical butter machine and use that bad boy to infuse.
I usually make big batches of 2 cups and above so I mainly use the MBM to infuse.

I have never tried myself .
I have used nothing bus cured bud in there.
But I’m sure it will decarb anything you put in there lol.
I also decarb my wax in there for edibles.
I put a gram or two in there to decarb and then you add it to what ever you are trying to infuse.

Perfect. I froze rather than dry my less than prime dense buds. I’m not sure if that was a good idea or not, but I had spent all day in trim jail, and it seemed like a good idea at the time. Now I need to figure out what to do with it. I’m thinking some cannacaps, and some baked edibles of some sort, but I don’t know if I need to dry it all first.

Yes I would at least dry it then freeze .
But I’m almost certain you can decarb before drying, I mean it is the thc you are after.
Yeah I make coconut oil I make butter and sometimes I will make an alcohol tincture which we call the black potion because it’s a downer for sure lol.

Bubble hash that fresh frozen, I do that exact same thing I only trim, dry and save the big buds. All else gets frozen and washed and sieved, huge time saver.

Well, here’s my goal. My wife likes edibles. She doesn’t like smoking - she will occasionally, but really doesn’t like the act of smoking. (pretty sure it has to do with some traumatic childhood punishment). So wanna help her out.

Yeah I really like to have my edibles available at all time.
My wife doesn’t smoke either but likes to have done edibles here and there.

Glad you found this post.

I use a magical butter decarbox. I like it. Its a silicone or nylon box and a meat thermometer. It works good but you can totally use Pyrex or corningware just az well.
