Another Lighting Question

I dont know what the specs are on the king 900, but I do have 4 of these, and they blow my old vipar 450 away.
And yes the kit comes with everything you need. It just needs assembly.
They sell them at growerslights assembled for an extra fee, but I believe anyone can put em together. It’s quite simple.

It’s growing my plants but I want good stuff that will last. Lesson learned. I should have known better from the start. My only concern is that the rule of thumb is 30-50 watts per square. This won’t get me there. Unless it’s quality not quantity in this case

With quality LEDs you’re looking at around 30-35w, but honestly how many umol/s/m2 a light puts out is a lot more important than how many watts/sqft you have.
If you are worried about not having enough light in the future, or plan on upgrading. I would go with the XL kit. As it has an optional spot for a 3rd board if needed.

@Familyman from my understanding this light is so efficent you really only need 30w Sq ft.
I got the qb288 it was $380 but it’s 365w dimmable to 100w for veg. I was told I don’t need any more light but am seriously thinking of grabbing another 288. I have only had it in my box for 5 days and am noticing a huge difference on 2 of my 3 plants. I believe the other plant is poor genetics
One thing I noticed is they put out a little more heat than cheap Chinese leds

This is what I need. Thanks for the input. Now I just need to scrape up the $325. Hopefully my plants won’t suffer to much until I get the light. I feel really dumb now.

Im piecing together to build mines now. Month by month more parts :joy:

@PurpNGold74 I like the idea that this one is expandable. I’m sure I’ll be needing the extra capacity soon. I should have just did this from the start. I guess I can always grow a tomato plant with the other light or use it for clones or seedlings.

Also, I don’t want to waste my time growing sub par quality stuff.

Sorry been kinda mia due to some traveling this week. But the others definitely have you set. For a 2x4 I would go with the xl 260 kit or two hlg-100’s.
