I would suggest giving a full flush(3x the container size) then check your RO#'s if they still aren’t as low as you want them, flush more… once you get your numbers right, then give a 1/2 dose of your current nutrient regimens. The reason for this is, after a heavy flush, you are doing, literally that. Flushing all nutrients out. Therfore, there is nothing for her to eat and she dies from starvation…
Hope that helps. Good luck
Okay thanks, that makes sense I will do exactly that tomorrow appreciate the help
Hopefully you can flush the pH down. If not, there was a thread where how to raise pH of the medium was the issue and I asked what can you add if you have the opposite issue. This is the answer from @OGIncognito, “To lower PH in veg blood meal works and bone meal in the flowering stage.” Maybe the bone meal will work for you if the flush doesn’t.
I will try it thanks
Agree with @Sydious on this. You can’t over water if it’s done at 1 time and allowed to dry completely. Flush her until those numbers are in range and follow up with a feeding. It may take several hours but go slowly with the flush so the run off comes out the bottom and not the top and sides
@Spiney_norman i use a small aquarium pump a 1gallon pitcher. The hose and i made the hose have about 200 little holes on one end basically an irrigation system for under 20 bucks works great
My response is this: i checked and worried about ph even on my second grow. I am now on ‘set it and forget it’ thing. I ph when i make a gallon, but after that, im trying too hard. Im in illinois. Its fall. Most of my water is coming from a dehumidifier (strange but purified). Trying too hard messes things up. Just follow the nutrients instructions. It does it itself.
Okay guys first of all thanks to everyone for the help and input and putting up with me being a pain in the posterior lol
I think I finally got the ph issue under control but not sure how much damage has been done by both the high ph and my mistakes but although they aren’t looking real healthy I have seen a little improvement any input would be more than welcome and appreciated
Might be a little dumb on my part and I know I have made a lot of mistakes but I’m hoping that these are ok and about ready to go and I haven’t killed any lol. Any comments is always appreciated all of the advice and pointers I have gotten from you guys are really appreciated.
Another question is if these are good and I am close to pulling them, do I trim the buds off and just hang them or do I trim the leaves away and hang the stalks?
They’re lookin pretty crisp and rough. Are they still drinking?
Yes but I only have to water every couple days
I’m gonna grab some eyes for second opinions.
I’m undecided pretty bad myself. I’m not sure it’s ready ready.
@beardless @OGIncognito @HappyHydroGrower @Covertgrower would you fine folks kindly observe the plant above and weigh in on ripeness?
Fully flowering for about 28 days, based on the growth stages at the beginning of the thread. It feels early - it looks a bit early - I’m not convinced the plant is going to want to do much more bud building. Wait it out or let her go?
agree, I’d let it go for a little more ripeness in the Trichomes…couldn’t hurt IMO . Thanks for the tag Growmie
IMO, when a bud gets damaged bad, there’s only so much growing it will do. It doesn’t finish the same as a good quality bud. But, you will enjoy it more than likely.
If you harvest that plant today or in two weeks, you gonna catch a buzz. May not be A1 quality due to the damage but who’s gonna actually know but you… haha! I think I’d let it go for another min and see if you notice a change any. If not, snip snip and sit back and enjoy whatever you grow and don’t count it as a loss. Count it as a blessing that you grew it.
The next grow is always an improvement over the last.
Good luck and keep’em growin!
I’ll be 62 on Friday and I have a chair. I pull the plant out and use a lazy susan to work on it
Eady as she goes…
Ahh the good ole days.
I’m about ready to graduate to a power assist chair
Ugh not far behind you probably
She is rough looking. Given her state I would not expect much if any growth going forward. However, if @Graysin 28 days of flowering is right, it is really only half way through normal flowering time. Thinking out loud I’m wondering if is is possible to get her back on track for her to finish stronger.
It probably depends on the amount of monitoring and corrections made after you thought its ph issues were resolved.
What are current runoff ph and ppm numbers? How have they moved since being fixed? What are the feed numbers?
Got the ph down to about 6.5 quit nutrition after I noticed down turn several days ago and just been watering prior to that she had seemed to be turning the corner, possible I overdid the nutrient’s but I will take you guys advice and give it another minute and see what happens.
Can say that I definitely learned what not to do this time around lol
