When I used R/O water for my aquarium it made the water extremely soft which makes it very easy to change the pH. The pH can drop very low, or go very high because the water is no longer buffered, so you can get wide readings in a very short period of time – like in a single day.
I needed it because NYC water is extremely hard with lots of minerals – bad for certain aquariums, but good if you need to keep the pH steady.
I would calibrate the meter to be sure, but 3.1 pH is not out of range for R/O systems.

Ok so I just got home checked on the ladies
These are the two I’m having questions on the bigger one came out looking a little off she has gotten some of her color back since I last feed her the smaller one also has some color issues as thought it was a nut issue
Plants are supposed to be gorilla glue
I have a lot of these seeds figured I would learn on them b4 speanding $ on seed just to mess up lol
Any way soil is organic potting soil no added nutts
Bought locally
Tent temp in tent is 75.5 f and 55.5% humidity day
70f and 55% humidity night
On average
Been feed low dose of ff liquid trio
Start with 1/3 strength with cal mag added and 1 tea spoon epsom salt to nutt mix
My water ph is normally between 6.1 and 6.3
Checked my ph meter as recommended
No way to calibrate set at factory
It’s a professional ph meter and I followed breakin directions as per mfg
I wouldn’t pick up another meter myself, already been down that road, checking one against the other continually but they never read the same and you always wonder which one’s right, madness!
Plus you can replace the bulb if it starts going out of whack on yours, and that’s another reason you want the test liquid then you’ll know that it’s always right
Anyway my other 3 plants look good so I’ll give these 2 a little a see what happens with them I guess strange but no 2 plants are the same so I guess I’ll just need to go with the flow they aren’t dying so
I apologize if you already mentioned it (or if it’s in the title of this thread) but what strain are they? … they do look pretty good! How old are they ?
My boy gave me like 200 seeds so I’ll learn on them before buying any high grade seeds from here
And the plants where potted nov15 so almost 4weeks old
I am of the ‘wait and see school’ and if these are just practice plants, well… I’d wait and see. The little guy does look like she has some nute deficiency, but hey, you’ve got 200 seeds! LOL!
And by the way, I haven’t seen a seed in my weed since the 90s. Where is everyone getting all this seeded weed from? I WISH some of my weed had seeds in it.
Well I think my friends supplier screwed up with his grow some how and decided to put it out there anyway because I smoked the stuff the seeds came from and it was spot on just loaded with seeds lol
And I haven’t go smoke with seeds in it forever until I got these
But hey lucky me
And they are practice but I still would like to have healthy plants and a nice harvest if possible that’s why we are all here right .
I’ll give them some time and see I’m in no rush
