Seems that way sir lol
Yep the canna soil works wonders for me and doesn’t require feeding for a good month or so. And I’m the same on that one, never used MG but have only heard terrible things about it so i never will use it…
Common don’t give up on the outdoors growing either, its a great thing to do, animals are just one of many hundreds of challenges growing out there i have the same problem but with kangaroos, i just fence off my little guerrilla grow area with some chicken wire and they’re safe and sound. Apart from the caterpillars and spiders and whatever the bugs that enjoy them…
Yeah I won’t give up on out doors I have 2 1/2 acres mostly woods of land to work with and it’s nice and private so once I build a deer fence and clear a proper spot out I will continue but indoors allows me to grow year round
Nothing like the sun so I will have a few going outside when weather permits me to do so
Lol was just thinking about the deer situation I dealt with
I swear they waited till the buds where ready before they harvested my plants because nothing bothered them up to that point
To funny
The deer know whats good then! I thought animals weren’t really attracted the budding plants, mainly just the leaves, but i guess i thought wrong! That would of been a harsh loss, but hey atleast you can console in the fact that those deer would of been off their chops for days
Glad to hear your gonna keep at it outdoors, id love to grow indoors but at this point time it isn’t possible, so outdoors it is!
Truth is I don’t know what ate it but something did I assume it was deer they are the only thing that larger I’ve seen hanging around but it possible it was some other sort of animal
Lol happy growing
And my puppy For sure one time got into it but I caught him before he got to deep lol ate the lower buds he was high for 36 hrs after that
Scared my wife so much she brought him to the vet
Didn’t tell them what he ate but i think they knew lol
Oh and he a boxer at the time maybe 8 mo old
Super energetic lol
What ever that’s life and it goes on will get a fence to protect them
A friend of mine made some butter and threw all the unwanted layer of stuff into the bin without thinking that the dog would be extremely interested in tearing through the bin to get it. Safe to say he was high for a couple days like your dog, lesson learnt lol. Glad to hear your little boxer was all good after it, they’re a great breed of dogs. Ive got a black lab, she’s crazy but a beautiful dog.
That’s awesome @BondPacker
and yeah lesson learned
So question???
I was checking ph of my run off after watering using water with a 6.1 ph
My run off was at 7.3 so I flushed with more water rechecked ph of run off down to 3.1 can that be ? I’m using a digital ph meter to test
Also cleaned up run off between tests
And I think what is confusing me is if I started with water at 6.1 how does it get down to 3.1 ?
Anyone ?
Not sure without knowing facts but if my runoff was that low I’d be putting my water in at 7 (or above, but I’m not recommending anyone go higher than neutral on their pH)
Thanks I’ll try that and will recheck after soil has a chance to dry a bit
I’m just a little confused lol
Question is I guess why would it drop so much?
I’ll get more info and pics later when I get home and post all info at work now so it’s just something that keeps haunting my thought
Thanks in advance
The only thing I can think of is are you sure about the accuracy of your meter?
Certainly won’t rule anything out but it’s fairly new and I spent a decent amount on it since color scale type def won’t work for me being shade color blind lol
I wasn’t medicated last night so maybe I did something stupid I often do when not properly medicated lmao my mind moves to fast and I get messed up
Thanks for the input @Paranorman
I’ll double check all tonight if I can
I have another question maybe you can give me input on also
So I have well water at my house
No water softener but I do have a good water filter system that has 3 stages sediment ,mineral ,and charcoal filter then I pass it through a U V light before it feeds the whole house !
I’m thinking that might be no good for my ladies because of trace mineral removal?
Thinking I should use the water b4 it goes through filters ?
Your thought ?
Get a ppm meter to see water your water is rich in and what it’s lacking, than it takes guessing out of proportion as well as would answer your question about whether to use water before or after the filtration.
Usually RO systems work great for getting balanced water
Ty for the input@Majiktoker
I’ll have to pick one up in the meantime I do have a water report somewhere I had one done maybe 8 months ago I’ll need to dig it out and reread thanks for jogging my memory
Yeah my water is usually in the 6.1 maybe 6.3 range so
Most of them come with a pH solution where you can set it & check it so let us know when you get some time
Let us know when you get it checked also growing in soil ph should be 6.3-6.9 so your right on the low side and my pleasure…I’ll be watching your topic and @Paranorman had stated a good point
