An auto, three photos and a clone

They are growing up so fast.

I am not sure how much longer I should let them go since they are in 3 gallon bags. I am thinking next week will go 12/12. This will give them 2 weeks since transplanting. And, something like 110 days since being cut.

Slow day today so decided to process the trim pictured in post 604. The common culture trim tray arrived last week so it was time to do a little carding - literally.

I dried and cured the trim and then put it in the freezer. I pushed it through a screen to break it up onto the trim tray. This is what’s left of the trim after one pass. It is about 15 grams of sugar leaf trim.

It looks pretty clean and weighed in at 1.8g

I have a couple little piles like this too. It has more plant material in it. Maybe fire it up in the vaporizer.

This is from one of the piles sitting on top of the screen. I was curious as to why it wasn’t going through the 150 micron screen. I found my answer.

The trichomes are too big to pass through the screen

@Axemanjake23 should I keep working it through this screen? Or, I have 225 micron bubble bag I can stretch over a large bowl.

Work it through another screen if u have one my friend.

Like a bowl topper. My wife will sandwich it between the bud.

It has been 10 days since the last update on this batch of clones. Three NL and two AK47s.
They are, and I am too, ready to flip to 12/12. Since we are near month end, I will hold off making the switch until 1/31.

two of the NL. I should have put #3 in a Vivosun bag. The smart pot is shorter and wider.

The family. It is going to get cozy in there.

Todays feed and runoff number

This what they were fed. Mix 8 liters and dilute with tap H20 to 14L. Then ph adjust to 6.4 +_

Let the flower cycle begin
Till next time

I gave AK #2 a couple little squeeze’s with these pliers on 1/24. I have a couple layers of heat shrink-wrap tubing on the ends.

The intentional damage has healed and is noticeable

Doing a quick once over of them before I flip. Primarily checking tie downs and looking for lower buds that can be removed. So, Thought I would grab a photo.
Enjoy the weekend. And, all of you retired folks, stay out of trouble.

Hi @beardless
I’ve just done my first ever experiment with a clone of cannabis gold leaf.
Cut up a branch that broke off moving it.
It would seem the tip section has survived.
It’d not doing much I’ve slowly been removing the plastic dome more and more.
I don’t see any roots out the bottom yet.
What do I do now just treat it like I would a little seedling :seedling: ?
The section from where it snapped off the stem i put in a jar of water and that too just sits there.
No show of roots yet.
I change the water every 3 days and re apply clonex its go a bit of growth at the next node up where I cut it from the mid section of the branch.
That section died.
It rotted at the cut in the medium.
Cheers

I did that with 2 monster cropped clones. Both of them died. The third I babied it and it survived. It has to develop roots to survive.
For the last bunch of clones, after dipping them in rooting powder, I simply stuck them in prepared potting soil, kept them moist & under a dome. Surprisingly, all but one of them survived.
This is a photo of them the day I cut them and stuck them in seedling soil. I followed how @Cannabian does his. Pack the container tight, moisten it, make a hole for the stem, stick it in and close it up so the cutting is secure in the soil. Cross your fingers and wait 1-2 weeks.

They are in a Mondi tray and cover

It wasn’t until 4 or five weeks later that they needed to be repotted to these solo cups

Hope this helps.

Yep thats what I did with 2 of them.
One still alive did it on the 6th January so got a bit more time to wait.
Ok.
Cheers @beardless

Glad to hear it. When I was taking the cuttings I asked Hellraiser which one of these two examples would work out better than the other
This was his response and instructions

It makes sense in that the smaller one is just that. Smaller and the new roots will have less plant to try to support.
