There is nutrients in soil, but not enough to get you through an entire grow.
Yeah I found out that miracle grow isn’t the best to use, so I figured if I went with the HF it gives me more of a safety net.
Those are the things I need to learn how to figure out, what the plant needs and when.
So little to learn, so much time!
That is why I thought coco would be easy. It has nothing, so you need to apply everything. Very little to question from that perspective. Feed, feed, feed, and feed it some more. I fed my plants full strength full strength from time they had true leaves and nothing more than a few burnt tips. Easy peasy! Only time I had any issues is when I didn’t feed and gave straight water.
I guess my problem was not knowing how often to feed them when they were in the coco, when they started changing greens I panicked and just transplanted. Suprisingly those ones are the ones that are now doing the best.
I think I’m still having nutrient problems though for the soil ones.
On this plant, just being honest here, I never once checked runoff and it’s the strongest one. This is the Blue Dream, it sort of looks like it’s been stuck in this state for about a week but maybe it’s just the buds getting bigger?
My nutrients say for week 10;
1400-1540 ppm
15ml Big Bloom
10ml Tiger Bloom
Up to twice a week
Do those numbers seem ok? I just feel like something’s off. I’m using tap water and adjusting to around a 6 PH.
Don’t want to screw up my last two plants.
Checks out to me, looks fine
Imo the right time to feed coco is always.
Checking runoff isn’t necessarily needed, I hardly ever do it. But of you say you have a nutrient issue it’s almost impossible for me to know whats going on without knowing what’s used and how much is going in and coming out.
I’m not really sure about fox farns nutrients. I have only used grow big in veggie garden, and been a while at that.
Blue dream is always dreamy
She looks good, best of luck finishing, altho you shouldn’t need much luck with all the heavy hitters here giving you guidance!
I hope they come out good.
So how does flushing work for soil growing? Ive seen that it should be a few weeks before harvest?
How do people feel about additives like sweet raw?
What kind of additives should I have or consider using for my next grow? I think I’m gonna start the next batch in a few weeks when these ones are done.
I really appreciate all the help, I found just the right place.
For soil flush would ideally start two weeks before you plan to harvest
You can add some blackstrap molasses or products like Flawless Finish, which i do reco btw, but idea is to mostly “flush” with lots of H20 those last couple weeks
I’m not 100% convinced I have a nutrient issue with the soil ones, it’s just that having all three of my hydro grows fail makes me worry.
I actually read about the molasses. How does that work is it just regular molasses you add to the water? What are the benefits?
Friday starts week 11 (overall), I figure they have maybe 2-3 weeks left?
Here you go
I swear by blackstrap unsulphured molasses…
Makes buds sweet too…
@Weedlvr0321 @Covertgrower @BobbyDigital
How much molasses should be used? When to use it?
I use a teaspoon a gallon once a week when growing organic. I don’t use it much when using non organic nutes.
Yep! 1 teaspoon.
I use 1 tablespoon per gallon once a week also. @BobbyDigital @Covertgrower I swear by it. It has most of the nutes you need during all phases of growth, then you can use OMRI organics for the other support supplements.
