Hi. I’m not exactly sure how to post a request to add a profile pic but that’s what I’m seeking lol. I didn’t put a lot of thought into it when I signed up but now after seeing so many interesting ones I’d like to jump onboard as well. My ‘F’ doesn’t express me lol.

Click ur avatar (the F) in the top left corner.
Then go down to the right and click the ‘head and shoulders’ looking thing to get to your profile.
Once there click summarize then go down to preferences.
Voila the profile avatar page.

Edit: I see preferences when u click the head and shoulder. Can skip the step about summarize lol

One more quick question as I’m still getting a feel for the layout of the land here so to speak. Moderators are ILGM staff, what’s the Bergmans Lab tag represent? Is that a badge or another type of staff position? Also is there a location for viewing all available badges? Thank you

It is a former parallel forum for what was paying members. The lab also had a growing education program. It no longer exists. Bergman’s Lab members are not staff, but the ILGM staff were active members of the Lab forum (some more so than others.) There are a dozen or so lab members who are still active ILGM forum contributors. I think they took it down about a year ago.

How is it that some messages have a mail symbol ext to them? Is that another trust level advantage? Like private messaging?

No. That means they are replying by email. Not on the website directly.
@PurpNGold74 how do you make an email on this platform? Is it in the recipients profile? I’m still learning all of this lol. Is this like DM somebody privately?

Nope. Not pm’s. They are disabled for 98% of the users. Maybe more.
If u check the email u used to sign up, u get replies n notifications there as well. U can respond directly from ur email if you wanted.
