Acetone extraction?

Does someone have a simple recipe for using acetone to extract thc? I just want to try a little, and I have some ABV weed I can use to try the method. Thanks.

Most have these presses now or use alcohol

I bet you would be fine. It is supposed to super low toxicity; less toxic than butane. Also slightly less flammable than butane at different temps and concentrations. It is still very flammable so outside evap baby. Or under a flame or stove hood with good flow.

It seems it is Often used in food additives to make hard candy shells. The evap temp is much lower than butane so it would be easier to clear up with evap than butane.

I would advise using something like food grade ethanol.

I was surprised myself, but acetone is listed just ahead of ethanol for toxicity to mammals.
And its boiling point is 136 f. While ethanol is at 173 f. Neither will evaporate at sea level at room temp completely. At room temp both have to be under high pressure.

That said it is not most people’s go to cannabis extractor solvent. There were warnings if not pure it can leave a white residue after evap.

Apparently it helps make hard candy shells because it evaporates so fast.
