I need some advice. I came home from work and noticed my lights in the grow room had not turned off yet. Normally they turn off at 6 PM and it was 730 when I noticed it and I hurried up and cut them off. What happened was the timer got bumped And a couple of the tabs got pushed down so I’m thinking it got an extra hour and a half of light what should I do? I am going into week five of flower
You’ll be ight
Well she will be fine
OK, I was panicking. I did not know if I needed to add an extra hour of night time or just let it ride.
One day of extra light won’t hurt keep on keepin on
Absolutely nothing to worry about. Just think the sun doesn’t have an exact set time for rise an set. It don’t bother in nature.
Happy growing growbro
Happy bday @DanB !!!
Ty for the birthday wishes
Happy Birthday @DanB
In flower the dark length is the important control, IMO.
Best wishes for better timing control.
Power outages also mess up hours of tent timers.
Yes they do and they add up fast
Found my feed timer was almost 12 hrs off so I’ve been feeding in the dark and drying on during lights on
Should be ok, but I’d invest in a digital timer. Harbor Freight has them cheap, and they work great.
An extra 90 minutes won’t hurt especially as a one off and you might find the plant is fine with the extra light every day during flower. I learnt something on my first post here and was informed that a 12/12 light/ dark cycle is for stubborn plants and is used as a standard but not necessarily needed for all photoperiod plants. I have one that flowered while getting 16 hours of light per day and other people on the forum have had them flower with 14-15 hours of light per day. So if you have the lights on 12/12 you might be able to increase it for that plant or other plants in the future. I plan on experimenting with lighting times for my plants and just reduce the light by an hour every couple of weeks and see how much darkness each plant needs to start flowering. Sorry the nerdy scientific gardener coming out
