9 days old-discoloration

Runtz Auto at 9 days. Only one in the box with this discolored whiteness. I know it’s not lack of or too much of anything nute wise, they’re in Happy Frog. Too young for any real food so I was wondering if y’all can diagnose it for me ..
And in advance, thank you to whoever can help out!!

It is a spot of leaf variegation and is nothing to be worried about. It is normal.

Thanks. These are my first autos. They’re supposed to be 70 day Sprout to Harvest.
So I want to stay on top of any potential issues because I hear these are sensitive. I have a 1/8 to 1/4 nutrition program for them. Since I’m using Fox farm and it’s harsh.
Thanks for jumping in.

Agree with @MidwestGuy , nothing wrong, just growing and settling in. Something else you might start seeing at this young stage is if the leaves look lighter in color towards the stem than on the mid to outside part of the leaves. That’s normally just chlorophyll trying to catch up with the growth. That usually stops by the 6th-7th nodes. Good luck :+1:

I would expect taking more than 70 days to harvest too. Some will be ready on this timeline but not uncommon to take longer.

I second Dbrn’s opinion. Autos can flower at any point between 3 and 12 weeks. The maturation of flower takes 8 to 10 weeks of flowering time to ripen from the start of flowering.

70 days is possible, but only if the plant flowers at 14 days. It is impossible if the plant is a sativa variety, which typically take an extra week or 2.

Im using seeds from Royal Queen Seeds, they’re all autos, this Runtz and 2 Blue Cheese Auto.
If they flower at 2 or even 4 weeks they’d be tiny even prior to the stretch in Flower. I hope not too tiny. Some guys on their grower community were getting a couple zips per auto, some had 80 to 90 days before they chopped.
The advertised timeline does seem unreasonable.

Still a beautiful baby, nothing to worry about so far. Let her vibe till she gets a few more sets of those leaves and then you can start to worry about deficiencies. The only thing I can think you may need supplements of is calmag as coco doesn’t retain that too well, but she looks well enough without it!

Most autos take around 84 days for any viable harvest unless bred for true speed, mine were supposed to be done today but look like they need 2-3 weeks.

Looks happy to me. Let her ride for a few weeks and let’s re-visit this.

Okay, I’ve got a few other friends who have that lil’ Mantra 84 and Out The Door
Now that I’ve heard this from you, I’m gonna just adapt to that off the rip. Seems like there is sufficient evidence that it is a realistic expectation

Yup, I would use it as a reference point at the most. The true harvest time is personal preference, once those white hairs get a body on them and turn orangeish is when you can pull out a jewelers loup or a digital microscope to look at the tricomes for your preferred mixture of amber/cloudy tricomes. It’s best to assume it will take longer as your expectations and hype stay away from your decision making. “Measure twice, cut once.”

I’m not an expert but those could be the nanners. I think I have heard that you can’t really tell sex until you flip to bloom. You can take a clone from it and flip it to check for 100% certainty.

Female.

You were misinformed. Sex can easily be seen in a 4-6-week-old plant via the preflowers, which indicates sexual maturity.
