5 gallon OR 10 gallon pots? Does size matter...? :)

I dont know if its the most economical but soil is everything in my opinion , fox farm frog dirt is the best ive used to date all of my outdoor grow friends use it as well , im also in the midwest , its about 17 $ for the big bag but worth every penny, i would send a pic but cant figure out how to yet , lol

Chiming in with my results based on pot size and the evolution of increasing to get larger yields.
1st grow = 3 gallon = 4.8 zips
2nd grow = 5 gallon = 5.7 zips
3rd grow = 7 gallon = 6.6 zips
New light added at 4th grow HLG 350r
4th grow = 7 gallon = 7.8 zips
5th grow = 10 gallon = 8.9 zips
6th grow = 10 gallon = 11.4 zips
These are my 4 pots used for each grow. I transplant 3 times after germing.

This was my largest yield to date in the 10 gallon, 11.4 zips

I’m using 10 gallon felt pots. My apple fritters are twice the size ILGM says they should be.

Don’t know outside. Inside with space limits 3 gallon fabric. I can do 1.5 to 2 pound 4 plants in a 28x55x80 tent. Photoperiod.
Doing 1st autoflower in 2 gallon fabric. 4 plants we’ll see.
I think I’m doing ok.
These are 3.5 to 4 feet tall grandaddy bruce photoperiod today. Check out DrsDank in show your grow for more in containers no bigger than 5 gallons fabric.

Hi guys! I finally heard back from p4p, they are officially UNAVAILABLE for the time being but are in the process of getting operations back up and running. They did have a great kit, it was my first grow (I did do months of research on Debacco University/ilgm and she turned out gorgeous and smoked well.

About 20 minutes ago I just started 2 5-gal pots with the following from Amazon:

•Purple Cow IndiCanja Soil: $41 filled 2 5-gal pots about 75%
•Nutrifield Coco Perlite 70/30: $18
•Smart Grower Mycorrhizal Fungi w/Bac: $15
•Food grade diatomaceous earth: $10

TOP SOIL MIXTURE: I mixed about 6 cups soil with about 2 gallons Coco Perlite, 2.5 teaspoons of mycorrhizal fungi, and a 4 tablespoons diatomaceous earth

GROWING MEDIUM: Pure Purple cow soil a little under 4 gallons in the pots

I evenly split the topsoil mixture and added it to the soil filled pots then sprinkled a little diatomaceous earth on top. The diatomaceous earth is because on Amazon reviews many soil brands had the potential of gnats and I grow in my walk in closet (in a legal state). My ilgm Jack Herrer autoseeds are in jiffy pellets and at the sign of cotyledons I’m putting them in their forever pots. I’ll keep you updated with this grow. It ended up being about the same cost wise as p4p but I have enough left-over coco/fungi/DE for the next round of 2 pots come October-ish.

Here is my p4p grow about a month-ish before harvest:

Thank you all btw! And your plants look gorgeous! I never realized how pretty they could be or how exciting watching a new bud or leaf form every day would be. The whole process is enjoyable and relaxing and this community only makes it better
