4x4 LED lighting question

I have 1 Unit Farm UF2000 in a 4x4 tent. I don’t understand lighting needs. Would like to run 4-6 plants at a time. I like Unit Farm because of 3 year warranty and ballast is separate from LED panel. My question is how many watts per plant do I need?Thinking of picking up more lighting.

It’s not how many watts a plant needs but more of a watts per space. You want around 650w for a 4x4 space. If you run quality leds, you can run around 480w. That light is probably only good for a space about 1.5ft x 1.5ft according to the PAR map they posted.

400watt Maxisun or
Spider Farmer SP-2000 are really great design lights that puts out heavy fat buds I know for surely that’s cost friendly , but it’s all a matter of choice and coins :coin:!

I have an SF-2000 in a 2x4. Works great there. If I had a 4x4, I’d want 2 of them.

4 of those those would work but good advice all ready given…
But here’s a video that may help ya understand what you need a little better.

@Newt those are the long slim design panels with a dimmer driver on it right?
I truly believe you get a good cheap well design light and you can do some really great grows.

Correct. This:

@yoshi @Newt @beardless I have a Vivosun V1000 LED light that came with the Vivosun kit we bought. My Dumb question is? The LED Light came with a clear cover on it which fell off and I thought nothing of it,Then as I look at lights I see the clear cover on them. So I put mine on and it seems to have focused the light better in one cycle I see a difference in the plants better looking So is this cover a part of the light or not?

None of my lights came with a removable cover.

My recommendation is to contact vivosun directly. The cover could be to protect diodes, dust etc, or to magnify / direct the light. I would only be guessing. Hopefully Vivosum reesponds.

@spudeater65
It should work , you have to find the plant height that give it its best output to the plant canopy . Have you adjusted the plant height!

Likely just the cover that makes it waterproof

Yes I did have to move it up 3" I also did the hand test and my hand got warm something that never felt before that much warmth. Waterproof yes. I did check the DLI’s they are up 767 middle 545 at the corners

You want a light with a ppf of 1200 umols per second or greater for 4x4.
