Heey! Yes yes, I have a bluelabs ph pen that I calibrate every week / every other week. (Sorry for so many pictures it’s hard to snap pics of it because it’s massive hah)
I am using the Flora Trio. My last feed for this girl was:
6-25-22
28mL Micro
56 mL Bloom
6.0 Cal-Mag plus
6.0 HG.
I top it off every day as it’s drinking between 1 - 1.5 gallons a day. Today I topped it off with 1 gallon + some extra cal-mag mixed in.
Are you mixing the Calmag first, before nutes?
@NUG61 here’s a GH grower.
Yessir! Every feed I go in this exact order
Cal-Mag
Micro
Bloom
HG. And of course a good stir and settle in between adding them.
Hello @Chrisr36 , is she eating those ppms down, seems a little high to me. Maybe a bit high causing her not to take in the calmag. So not lack of… but to high on the ppm side. Maybe dropping to 1000 and see if anything changes. The micro should really have enough mag. to carry the plant through flower. Just a thought.
Thanks @NUG61 !!
So yah she’s been eating well:
6-25 1450 ppms
6-26 1200 ppms
6-27 1300 ( needed 2 gallon top off)
6-28 1140
6-29 1350 (2 gallon top off 920 ppms)
Tho on the next bucket change 7-1
I’ll drop the levels down to around 1000.
The sheer amount of water this one consumes compared to my others is overwhelming to say the least lol
Yeah that 1450 feeding was high for sure! Haha that extra shot of bloom and cal. But I think she can handle it if I can get those leaves to chill out. She’s sitting at a smooth 970 ppm right now.
If your pH is good and nutes are good, the next thing that comes to mind is not being able to keep the pH within the root zone happy. Too much fluctuations. The next thing I would look for if not the roots, I would get a scope and look at the bottom of the leaves for broad mites. You can’t see them with the necked eye. Broad mites will make the leaves curl on the edges and and also give the appearance of a cal deficiency.
Perfect! Thanks the info. That will be the next thing I check for
@Chrisr36 can you lower your light intensity? The inter-veinal discoloration is usually indicative of light stress.
Oh ok that’s good to know for sure. I have had it maxed out since around 2nd week into flower. I’ll lower it down to 75%!
Ok, so a few days later update.
6-30-22
I removed all plants one by one and did a good ph’d water rinse over roots and hydroton.
Then did nutrient changes to them as well,
960 ppms @ 6.0 ph
Then I went ahead and attempted something, threw in the trellis and bent over the really tall buds on girl ‘B’. Main reason to identify where I should try to ‘supercrop’ or break stems with pliers.
But after seeing how well they’re responding to weaving through the net, should I just keep doing this for a week or so? Or still try to go for breaking the stems some
Thanks! Any extra help is appreciated.
@Graysin @HMGRWN @Spudgunner @OGIncognito @HappyHydroGrower
If you can keep tucking them under the net that may be better than stressing them with supercropping.
Thanks for the @HMGRWN , that was kinda my thought process since they are auto’s. But figured getting some expert advise might help to
Today they are 9 weeks old from seedling !
My thought as well. I didn’t have a ton of faith in the net but it looks like it’s doing quite well.
That is a pretty full canopy now. How does the undergrowth look? You may need to open that up for airflow.
Good pointers from @HMGRWN
It is… intense to say the least. This girl has so much growth I have to stand on a step ladder just to see the middle of it
But I’ve been staying pretty active about doing some selective trimming
There so sticky I’ve got to untangled them daily it seems
Ah here, just snapped a current picture. Any thoughts on if I should trim up or thin out more? I’ve just been freestyling it
Look GREAT. Dont panic when leaves yellow if buds vibrant and healthy. You have so many i bet she feeds on a ton of them. A lot of stored nutrients.
