Hey, I’m thinking of adding one more 1 ft x 1 ft light to my 3 ft x 3 ft tent. I currently have 2 lights.
If I do that, is there some odd way that I can arrange 3 square 1 ft lights in a 3 ft square tent to get the most even light coverage?
This doesn’t look real even to me… and I thought someone out there may have thought thru it and come up with a layout.
Any other ideas other than this?
Not knowing the output of those lights, all that I can say is that I would put four of them to achieve even light coverage.
Whether or not you have enough light is another question and would require more information on the lights to advise.

If you only have 3 lamps capable of covering 1 square foot each it’s gonna be hard to adequately light 9 square feet of space.
I didn’t explain it very well.
200W of LED input is what I have now. Served me well with 7 oz in my first grow.
I’m thinking of adding 1 more 100W light (not adding 2 of them), how would a person configure 3 lights in a 3 ft tent to get maximum evenness?

What is the make and model # of your lights?
PAR meter and trial and error

if you are looking for a great PAR meter download the app Photone to your phone and pay 5.99 to unlock LED PAR measurements…this is a great app and helps you to set you lights correctly at the canopy top and not have to go by your hand feeling heat of some distance the manufacturer recommends

I use the Photone app . . . any tips on keeping the paper diffuser in place for the iPhone version? I’ve taped and folded and clipped but when I use the thing and move it around too much it says diffuser needed and stops reading. Also have the Android version that doesn’t need the diffuser . . . but it’s on an old busted up phone. I don’t actually trust the numbers to be very accurate but close enough to tell me if I have even lighting
@frogyrogy sorry I was locked out for an hour because I have replied too many times today for a newbie…I made this from typing paper and it seems to stay on for me on my IPhone…as for accuracy I compared the PAR values against the manufacturer at their distance for my lights and the app was spot on for me it matched.
This is all I do. Just a strip on paper and tape

My opinion would be in 3 corners and fan and whatever else in the 4th corner, position plants under lights
