2ND Grow ever lets see if I can pull this off. Gorilla Cookies auto, indoor grow

After my first grow was at least decent with my critical mass photos, my second attempt will be an auto flower gorilla cookies from fast buds here she is day one, isnt she a cute little thing?

Off to a good start, best of luck!

I expanded your title to get your topic a little more visibility. Feel free to reach out if I can be of assistance.

@dbrn32, I greatly appreciate that. I don’t know what I am doing with posts, blogs, social media or growing. :joy: Trying to learn a bit in my older years. Again, thank you!

No problem! There’s a ton of good people here and most have been in your shoes.

Nice… im also growing a Gorilla Cookies Autoflower from 420FastBuds

nice. how old is she?

23 days old

Well day 10 on my first auto-flower. I’m not sure how tall it should be but, I’m hoping for a decent run by staying consistent with the environment.

Never had to put that trap in there I got a new bag of ocean forest and these fucking Nats are everywhere. Definitely look at trying to eradicate them. If this trip doesn’t take care of it in the next two or three days but I’ve caught all those over the last two days.

If the gnats persist look into a product called Mosquito Bits. This gets the larvae in the soil.

Common, worst part about premade soils. You need to cut the life cycle to get rid of em. Adults lay eggs, eggs hatch, become adults, lay more eggs and on and on. 1st step is kill the larvae. Need mosquito bits or mosquito dunks. I prefer bits myself. Amazon.com : SUMMIT CHEMICAL CO 117-6 30OZ Mosquito Bits : Home Pest Control Products : Tools & Home Improvement
Follow directions and mix some bits into your top soil. (In future grows you can mix it right into the soil prior to planting) after that take a dose worth of bits and soak it in a gallon of water for 24 hours then use that water to drench your soil. Now that the babies are taken care of you will need to adress the adults. Sticky traps is the most common way. A few around your pot will start plucking them off. Ontop of that you can put an inch or two of sand or perlite ontop of the soil in your pot. This will allow you to water through but will prevent the adults from reaching the moist layer to lay eggs. Mix in a little DE and you will really get em good.

Just a heads up with GG strains.
They are PH finicky. Drink a ton when vegged out.
When I say finicky I mean that. Tough strain and will power through mistakes pretty well but prevention is best.
GG was our circles main grow for a few years. I cloned for 2 years..got VERY VERY potent, and popped GG beans. All had same PH sensitivity. Had issues when I didnt pay attention. Other than that GG kicks ass!!! Just my experience with it. Also can yield BIG when photo. Took almost 3lb from a wall to wall trained in a 3x3.
I say GG but I think it has been renamed keeping only gorilla. Copyright infringe on the glue company..lol.

what PH did you find takes well?

Stay in the 6.2-6.5 if can. As I said they are tough but finicky.

Good deal I was at 6.45 earlier. Will keep it in that range. Just want a decent run especially since it’s my first auto

Take a less is more approach with autos.

Okay, so question for y’all, my gorilla cookie auto is 13 days old today. My temp is a little warm at 83°. I’ve tried everything to cool it down. I just can’t my VPD was at 2.12 and my Rh was at 48%. Even though that environment is extremely dry, seedling still seems to have been doing rather well from everything that I’ve read. I was having to water about every 18 hours to keep the soil from completely drying back. I just went to Walmart and purchased a humidifier a real small one I have it in the tent on low And the last hour and a half my tent is now sitting at the same temperature however, my humidity has moved to 62.8% and my VPD is now at 1.51. Still not perfect however way better. Why would my seedlings still have done well in that type of environment? I’m really confused. I’m guessing the next three or four days with the new environment due to humidifier I should see daily changes in growth?

The environmental suggestions arent death or life. Just because its 85 degrees doesnt mean they bake out. They just dont like it. You can grow the plant in lots of conditions, what you get back is a different story. Good results require certain conditions.

Dont stress it. Veg is best at 80-85. Before dialing in for 4 tents I had temps hit 94 or so. Just keepem watered and mid 80’s is just fine all the way. 10° drop at night and you are gucci. Those girls are doing well. The light green is because outgrowing chlorophyll. They will darken. Since auto
