Ok.. Now a number of photos have been uploaded without details.. Let’s talk some details. and a few more pics in a few days.
Wanted to do an outside grow here in central NY. Know we have a relatively short growing season. Started 6 - “ ILGM- “Blue Dream” seeds on tax day, in a modified aquarium where the temp and humidly can be controlled. (Grow tank in basement where chilly and can be on the dry side with central air heat.) 100% germination, grown in rockwool, only because I had them. Seedlings transferred to mid sided pots, mixture, soil, perlite, vermiculite and place in existing grow room because of chance of frost till 6/15
Ok.. Using starting with clean, clear, well water, 220 hardness, 120Mg/100Ca (no need for Cal/Mag booster here) @ at a pH near 8 (ouch) (Base EC reading 400) .
Knew the pH was an early driving issues. Solution, used garbage can as mixing /prep tank. So important to have/use high-quality pH/EC meter. Yes, because gal purchased a 10lb box of Miracle Grow – general plant food, 24-8-16 & combined with essential micronutrients !! ..lol. Figured might as well use that for general feeding and her potted flowers…
Using EC and pH meter, first adding MG, then with diluted Phosphoric acid (see pic ) in a 100L/30G mix reservoir increasing EC from 1K at start to 2.4K near end of Veg and pH to 5.8-6.2. Because growing in well rinsed Coco and 30 gallon grow bags.
Watered heavily, once a day, see pic, using 1/5hp water pump and hose in mixing tank. Flooded grow media with 5+ gallons to be sure to not have MG salts buildup. Monitored runoff early to assure proper rinse, EC out, just slightly higher than EC in ( +.2-.+3 points.)
Summer grow went better than expected, could have LST/Lolly popped them, but wanted to see what they would do.. Well, they are well over 7’ !! Next year, yes, some LST and bigger 50 gallon grow bags! But either way, yield should be very fruitful.
Knew the branches would be heavy and break when buds started to form. So wrapped the maturing girls in 7.5” high 2”x4”.. horse fences to support growth and knowing it would limit any wind induced damage.
That’s where we are at the moment, 30 days till first frost. Will add, I’m sure the roots have grown thru the bottom of the cloth grow bags, which is a good thing, ankers the bags nicely and more bigger roots !! More Fruit! Follow up with final results soon. Sure, I forgot to share something . Best to you all.

Adding…. As the signs of flowing started to appear, the days dropped below 14hr, switched over to bloom feeding 2-15-15. Some details of the mixing tank/pump. Really know using that setup optimized the EC and pH. A huge part of the overall success of the grow, so far.. Kind of starting to dread the amount of trimming that lies ahead… :>
