2 and a half weeks veg, showing pre flowers, switching to 12/12 600w HPS

First time at the rodeo haha, so two and a half week veg and both are showing female pre flowers ones ice (biggest) fruit salad being the shortest,

I have switched over to 12/12 today not looking for the biggest yield,
I have noticed there are leaves curling up and slight staining on leaves can be seen under the microscope and some by eye, pH is correct in and out has been on 24 lighting for two weeks I was wondering if my girls are doing good? Looking healthy?
Thanks in advance ILGM!

they adapt to new environment

That isn’t pre-flowers for one. Two…you are not at the Veg state either.

Tbh I think you should atleast veg for 4-5 week then switch to bloom. You should wait until you have 4-5 nodes with full set leafs, meaning where your set of branches meet the stem that’s what I’ll do. What @MrPeat said your still in seedling stage

As I run 12/12 start to finish I will say this. You do have a little advantage having the HPS 600 watt. I will warn you now. If this is a fem photoperiod plant, you will have your hands full. You will need to learn to train because this completely skips the Veg period.

What this means is she will keep growing till a couple weeks before you are ready to harvest. She will grow out and up at the same time.

Example…

This was off two HLG 260xl rspec lights on a 12/12 start to finish. She reached 7’6” indoors.:+1::+1::+1:

Nice plant ! basically is just starting to grow. You will know when it starts to flower. Auto or photo?

I just bought me the HLG 260 Rspec! I can’t wait to try her out on the next batch!

That’s impressive what was the dry yield?

Over 1 lb.

What would you suggest @MrPeat switch to 12/12 with the 600w or keep them on 24 like I have been with 150w equivalent cfls for now?

@MrNiceFlavour In your position. I would wait 2 weeks. This will allow the plant some extra growth and make it easier to start training.

Secondly…if its a Auto I would run 18/6 and the same for a Photo plant at 18/6. Plants, like us, need a rest period.

After the extra two weeks aka where the plant is over 30 to 45 days above ground she should start getting geared up for showing its a male or female.

Then I would flip to 12/12 since your light is better than most Blurple lights on Amazon.

MrPeat got ya figured out. i agree that ya need a few more weeks of more growth before ya flip to 12/12. I usually start my veg state at the 4th set of nodes
