Hi Everybody,
So I’m about to start my first indoor grow, just waiting on seeds from ilgm…in the meantime, My first outdoor grow is still active. I planted 3 seeds for outdoors and only have one plant entering its 2nd week of flowering, the other two ended up being males. Damn you msnl!
A Serious thanks go out to the community here, the amount of genuine info and tips has helped me get to this stage. So cheers to all here!
Indoors, the only thing I need clarity on is regards to cool air in and hot air out/filter/fan.
If I’m running my LED lights 18/6. What do I do with my filter and cool air in fan during the 6 hours off? Do I keep these fans running 24/7? Do I turn filter &cool air in off during the 6 hours of darkness?
So basically the 6hours of darkness has me confused on what to do with the fans/filters. Some clarity on this would ease the headache I’m feeling atm.
. Thanks in advance peeps.*
You won’t need an outlet filter for a while. It’s just to control the smell and there won’t be any for a while. Intake and outlet fans you can shut down at night. I set mine on a timer during veg to turn on for 30 minutes every few hours just to replace the air. I do leave the interior fan running 24/7 throughout though.
Thanks bobbydigital.
Okay, that leads me into the next q, should I have 2 outlet fans, 1 for the filter(later on) and 1 for general hot air? At present I have the standard oscillating fan, one fresh air in and hot out…do I need another?
Are you in a tent? If so, I’d just run the oscillating fan and outlet fan without filter. Leave the inlet port open. The outlet fan (preferably at the top of the tent) will pull fresh/ cool air in through there. Just make sure there’s no light that can leak into the tent from the inlet hole. Dryer ducting at a 90* angle should eliminate that. You can add the filter on later once the aroma starts becoming apparent.
Right now I’m running a heater on a thermostat in front of my inlet and my exhaust fan pulls the heat in when it gets below 68* in my tent. My exhaust runs 24/7 but I’m on week 3 of flower. During veg, I ran the exhaust 30 minutes every couple hours to keep the heat down and exchange the air
