1st grow ... .. need assistance

Go look up Bill Ward up on YouTube he shows you that he only use 2 nutes to feed autos and averages 4oz every plant says even got a pound off of an auto before. He use calmag and hydroponics maxbloom thru veg and floor. Also shows how to make your own calmag

@danniep40 ok … lol i thought i was replying to u by just hitting reply on your name … thanks i gotcha

.no problem

I would get rid of the mister if it were me. It enables bad watering habits imo. Never spray your foliage unless you’re spraying it with neem to prevent bugs. Spraying your foliage causes rot and the light will ultimately burn your leaves.

@Montaye so heres the breakdown for mixing nutrients as well as pHing.

  1. Never mix less than a gallon at a time.

  2. Mixing order

1-Silica
2-Calmag
3-Base nutrients
4-Microbes
5-Salts
6-PH

Never add nutrients to each other. This means always make sure your adding to water first and mixing each ingredient on the list in order. When adding silica if you use it always add first and allow about 10 minites for it form a bond in the water. Next step is adding calmag to the silica water. Mix well and continue down the line adding the exact amount the manufacturer of the nutrients suggests. And finally pHing the final solution.

Personally im using Fox Farms Trio full line up. It is based off tap water on a 700 scale. Tap water tends to run a Ph of 7 the same as rain water if your in a good municipality. This is the basis for fox farm nutrients. That being said if your using a water that starts at a pH of 7 your final ph after mixing everything should be perfect everytime before you water.

Your tds meter will give you bad readings if its a 500 scale meter and your testing a 700 scale nutrient line. If it has an EC function on it thats the setting you want for testing nutrient levels.

Ph is ph. Once your done mixing everything up before you feed your plants just dip it in the solution and see what reading you get.

6.5 pH is ideal for soil. If its reading way higher than that simply add a few drops of ph down while stirring and take sample readings as you go until you reach the desired ph. Same for adding ph up.

They sell shotglasses that have all the liquid measurements printed on them and they work wonders for ease of use. Do not use dry measure spoons for liquid nutrients. Theyre not the same. Make sure youre using a liquid measuring device such as what i suggested. Same goes for dry amendments, do not use liquid measure for those.

:point_up::fire::fire::fire::fire::fire::fire::fire::fire::fire::point_up: great example @Ebb

Example

Every measurement shown is a per gallon of water used ratio.

So if your making up say 5 gallons at a time. Then multiply each nutrient x5. So lets pretend were making a single gallon vs 5 gallons. Week 4 on your schedule. Liquid measure will be (LM). Dry Measure will be (DM)

Single Gallon
Big bloom x3 tsp (LM) #2
Grow Big x3 tsp (LM) #1
Boomerang x1 tsp (LM)#2
Kangaroots x1 tsp (LM)#2
Wholly Mackerel x1/2 tsp (LM)#2
Kelp Me Kelp You x1 tsp (LM)#2
Open Seasame x1/4 tsp (DM)*#3

All of this goes into a single gallon of water. And again if your using either Silica and/or Calmag in your feeding routine they are first in the mixing order.

The numbers after the nutrients is the mixing order if not using silica or calmag. Youll notice #2 after several of them. Thus just means it doesnt matter which order these go in as long as theyre added before the #3 and after the #1.

5 gallons
Same as above but x5 for every ingredient on the list in a 5 gallon jug of water
