I found this with a quick search to get you started good luck @WaPNWGrower

If there is anything I can help with tag me starting with @ then type someone’s screen name to give them notice you have a question

Lighting is probably the most important and expensive option you need don’t waste money on any light until you do some research

Just a bit of friendly advice based on my experience starting out, try to keep the word Vivosun out of your starting to grow checklist. There’s a lot better equipment out there for a comparable price.

If I had it to do all over again my checklist would be gorilla grow or ac infinity tent, ac infinity for all airflow needs and controllers, HLG for lighting (RJ-10 dimmer for use with ac infinity controller), Jack’s 321 for nutrients and Apera or BlueLab for pH pen. Any $15 ppm/EC meter will do. That there would be a top notch growing setup.

All of my Vivosun (lol) equipment has done very well for me and the 1 issue that did arise was quickly handled with a brand new replacement. My BOM entries come from practically all Vivosun equipment. Not sure why they get such a bad rap. Good luck!!

My tent is Vivosun. It’s fine aside from being too short. The light that came with the kit went back in the box and into my closet after two weeks. Once I measured the ppf it was a wrap. No way you can grow more than one plant in a 2x4 with it. The exhaust that came with the kit is so weak that it barely moves the sides in. When you put the carbon filter on you may as well not even be using an exhaust. The pH pen they sell is utter garbage.

I just was not at all impressed with their products considering how little extra money it costs to get top notch gear. I could have had an ac Infinity setup for basically the same price. If they had sold a kit with a powerful enough light and exhaust for the tent size my opinion may have been different. When it’s all said and done I’ll be buying another one of everything I got from them from another company. May as well get the better product to start with and only buy it once.

Another problem I had was their customer service completely stopped responding to my emails once I received my kit. Just my experience, but I’ll always point people just starting out in the direction of better equipment.

In their defense you chose a short tent with a smaller exhaust and all of the items that came with that package. You could have chosen a more expensive kit from their selection. Just a thought.

I paid extra for the “upgraded” kit and light. It was actually the most expensive 2x4 kit they sell. As far as I can tell all their 2x4 tents are 60" tall. I haven’t seen any in other heigths. It accomplishes growing, but my main point is I should have got an ac infinity setup for a little more money. I try to keep everyone starting out from making the same mistakes I made. If I’d done more research before ordering I definitely would have went with a different brand.
