Whatcha’ need assistance with? They look good! The top one, with those two leaves looks more like damage than anything?

Do those pots have drain holes? Are you sing any nutrients yet?

VDP, with the numbers you gave is a pretty good for early vegetative stage.

Good, she has more exp with nutes than I do. Hi @Caligurl Im getting out of my comfort zone about pH in and out.
Hey @Montaye since the support tickets here mayzl use it and we could edit the title if you are making it your main grow journal

Oh, and are your lights on still for 24 hours and if so, why? Just curious. You could switch to 20/4 but most people do 18/6 during veg.

Yes the ones i wer using before do … that 1st plant with the deficiency look is when i gave it a round of powder nutrients (growtime) … i had to dig it out and replant it into fresh soil necause it made my leaves start to turn brown … but all images are of the same plant … .yes my light have been running 24 hrs a day … only being is because i was told autoflowers could grow seed to harvest in 24 hrs of light

I told him I only check pH in, I wouldnt know what to do if I didnt like pH out numbers. How often to test pH out, only for flush, only whan sick… i dunno

So u only check soil ph in ur last 2 weeks before harvest ?

No idea. Still watching others experience this

So, personally, because I use synthetic nutrients which will build up salt in the soi, I water to runoff every time I water (unless I’m in a huge hurry)

I have the pots on a plant dolly and sitting in an oil drain pan. I water to about 20-23% then I measure the water runoff. What it tells me:

If the output number is bigger than the input number, they aren’t up taking the nutrients or you soil still has plenty of it’s original nutrient.

If the output number is smaller than input, I may need to feed more.

Ideally, you shouldn’t worry about the NPK nutrients is your runoff is less than about 850 (some folks go up to 1000).

My set up is this. I use a wet/dry shop vac to remove the runoff water as soon as I’m dome measuring… never leave the water in the pans.

By watering to runoff, you should only need to do a flush the week before harvest (if you believe in flushing) There will be times when yo u might decide it needs to be flushed which is way more water than when you wter to runoff.

I forgot to put this in:

When u say water till run off u mean u water till it comes out the bottom of the pot?

NPK?

Yes my friend, exactly right

So u are measuring the ph balance in the run off ?

I can give ya an example here. If you put in 2L water slowly (just water) and get a half-liter runoff thats your 25%.
Test that runoff, if pH is too high or too low then you adjust the pH of your nutrient mixture.
Mix your nutes and water, then test that, then add something to adjust pH.

After i water it till runoff my soil will be soaked by then huh?
I don’t think ive ever givin it that much water :man_facepalming:t5:

Yep pretty wet. Its not over-watering because we let it dry out before watering again. Watering before its ready again is the fear. Using a whole lotta water at once, no problem.

Do i need this ?

& ok i think i have a better idea guys & gals … i appreciate all your help

Gotcha

You will someday likely this grow

So, once you water till runoff, you don’t water again until the pot feels very light (I lift the pot…it’s how I tell when it needs water).

Any adjustment you make based on the ph AND TDS of your runoff, will be made on your next feeding/watering. You only want to make small changes each time. You’ll be surprised how a little adjustment can make a difference. Also, sometimes, it takes a bit to see the change in the plant at all, especially with leaves already damaged as most won’t recover but I leave them on anyway.

Yes thank you so much i like your method and the way u broke it down … i got a better understanding… :relieved: … as my first time out i was a little discouraged about those nutrients but you and also others have eased this pain i was feeling about growing :clap::partying_face:
