16 d old seedling tips look "burnt", leaves yellowing

I won’t give up on these girls until they keel over! They are standing strong, just no signs of growth. Keeping under dome 80-90% humidity, 75-78 deg. Time will tell. Meanwhile I with start another batch of 5 and now realize there is a virtual community of you good folks out there willing to help, a favor I hope to be able to return one day when I learn some things. Thanks to everyone. I’m sure I will have more questions

@Hogfather quick question bro
Do you have the room to grow all of the plants you have started plus five more
I have a good feeling that all of these will survive bro so just food for thought I would hate for you to have to cull any because of lack of room
And one day you’ll be able to pay it forward brother like most of us do no worries

Counseling patience. Hmm, never a strong suit of mine.
Space (lights) limits to 4 or 5 I think (never having done this before). So maybe I should wait  Any guess how long it may be before the ones I have might show signs of life?

Usually the first two weeks or so they focus on root development and around week three will start to take off
I would definitely give them a few weeks
Except for the tips they look pretty healthy
Just most soil and let them do there thing
I think this hobby teaches many of us patience haha

Sound advice, thanks. I will wait and see how they do for a few weeks as you suggest before starting more seeds. I think my new hobby will help my adjustment to a changed pace of life in retirement and have benefits beyond the obvious one of eventually producing some fine smoke

Agreed @Hogfather :+1:

Well said @Hogfather

I retired three years ago and it does help fill the day a little. Though honestly they really only need about an hour’s worth of attention or so per week.

Do you still think there is any hope for these girls?

If you can figure out what did that and fix it, they have a fighting chance. Where there’s green, there’s hope.

If they were 10 or 15 dollar seeds, it’s probably worth trying to salvage them. But, if they’re nothing special … why not start over?

@Hogfather did you put the seeds in peat pots? Those things hold lots of water so theres a chance you overwatered. Here are mine. Soaked seeds on sept7. Today they are 18

Only the cotyledons are still green. They were ILGM AK-47 :frowning: . I think I made a novice mistake in starting in rock wool and not adding nutrients. Only put the cubes in soil pots a week ago, in dome, 75 deg 80% humidity. But too late I think…

you should not need any nutrients until those cotyledon leaves start to fade, usually the first 2 or 3 weeks I do not add any nutes to mine…

@Hogfather possibly… the one in front, to far left is my ak from ILGM. This is my first grow, so im not sure what happened… your temp and humidity seemed fine from waht ive read. Musta been the rockwool. Start some more!!!

Thanks @VelcroThumb. Rockwool was a bad way to try and start! Started 5 new seeds 3d ago in soil in solo cups with many holes (thanks @bob31) . All popped today. Under dome, 80% humidity, 75 deg F, T5 flou tube 2-3 " above plants. Will start 1/4 strength nutes at 2 wks. Really hope I don’t screw up these girls. Wish me luck (and good advice

Many thanks to @bob31 , @VelcroThumb and @Countryboyjvd1971 particulary for all the helpful advice you have provided so far.
Should I be worried that one of the girls has already sprung up 2" today?. She’s only 2" from the T5 17 watt tube. Maybe I should give them some dark? They are set for 18h light (4am-10pm), 6h dark.

They are in

. Planted 8am 3d ago. Started seeing a little green last night. All popped by this morning. This is the set up they are in . I have the cups standing on 1" cubes to get the girls closer to the light. Last time I lost 2 to stretching real early with the cubes ~7" below the light. These are the 5 girls . I could pull out the cubes to give another inch if you think that would help, but I worry the further from the light the more they will stretch.
