Yellow tipped leaves in seedling

This little dude is my very first grow and its about 3 weeks old in seedling/sprout. I have a filter on my tap that i use and mix in fox farms supps. I know there is something wrong and i did some research and i feel like it my be a boron deficiency as well as a ph imbalance. i order a ph tester and the ph up/down stuff in amazon. I just want to get a more experienced growers opinion it also happened in one night like really?

It kinda looks like it was touching the soil. Also that soil looks like to much water being used.

A support ticket will help fill in some details I have questions on.

What soil are you in is the first question I have.

It is very unlikely that you have a nutrient deficiency. It’s probably the case that you have a little nute burn. Seedlings don’t really need nutes at all, and most soils have what is needed in them for the first month of growth. The soil looks wet too. Seedlings should only get a few ml of water per day.

I’d suggest getting both pH and PPM meters. If you have been feeding nutes, then it is probably the case that your soil is too hot and your pH is too low.

Don’t fret. She looks okay and will get beyond a blemished leaf. You just need to get your pH and PPMs corrected from the feedings.

@MrPeat no its not touching the soil but i did increase the amount of water dramatically in the past couple of days. I have 2 plants growing in a growtent and the other looks like its taken off since i incresed the water. Thats been since Saturday. This happened over night FEB 18.
@MidwestGuy I dont quite understand ppm in any aspect. Ive heard it all my life but just cant wrap my head around the measurement. What is nute? Do you mean the little lizard bois? To answer your questions

.No idea. My sis gave me like 10 seeds and said good luck for free so cant complain.
.Organic soil with worm casings and such, no artificial fertilizers.
. Thos Vivosun “smart pots” theyre basically woven fabric. I also bought some plastic basins for them too.
.Dont have anyway to test ph or ppm yet.
.Indoor growtent with 600w veg/flow switch (still on veg setting now 18:6)
. Temps range between 75 to about 68
.Humidity is about 50 goes up and down a bit but nothing drastic
.have a 4 inch system. Not sure on how much air is moving but i had to get on of those exterior dryer exhaust with the little back draft door because the vent system was creating a negative air pressure. Before anyone freak on the dryer thing i know you dont want light but i got it all rigged where it doesnt leak light but keeps the air pressure alright.
.none of the above. My setup is kinda small dont think i have room.
.i have CO2. I have it hanging around the middle point since the plants are still tiny i wanted it to reach them without getting sucked up by the vent.

@BloodStrong I’m saying that leaf had been touching at some point while the light is on. When my plants sprout I actually tap the soil down so the tips can’t touch. Because if you had a deficiency, it would be on the other leaves as well. But if you don’t want to heed my advice, it makes no difference to me.

I wasnt trying to be rude. You said it looks like it was touching. Its never touched. Id love to heed your advice just dont be rude in explaining what you mean.

I see top leaf is wet, perhaps it was magnified by the light and created the burn…all other leaves look fine like Peat said so I would draw same conclusion especially since all other plants are fine and in same soil/conditions…

And also not only is the soil pretty damp for my liking but it almost looks like algae growth to the left in the dirt. Lil guys need all the TLC ya can muster up, like a newborn…lol

Soil looks awful wet to me. What kind of water are you using. Plants don’t like chlorine if it is city water. Ph is a crucial measurement and gages can be bought for $15 if money is tight. PO is the total dissolved solids and is a way to measure how heavy the feeding is and how much they are eating.

I did up the water but since posting i have backed off alot. I didnt know water could burn like that but it does make sense thank you

The water is filtered through the tap. I try not to drink regular tap water. I just got my ph meter but i dont think it reads right.

Does the filter remove chlorine? If not let it sit out for at least 24-hours to let the chlorine gas off.

Same issue?

@Spendibaby You are good. That is just the outer shell of the seed dying off like it should. :+1:
