Grape Octane Auto
Broke ground 12/13/23
She’s beautiful but been stuck with all white pistols for the past 6 weeks
Only change leaves turning yellow falling off or I clip them off I’ve harvested one planted the same time three weeks ago
Adding pictures
My question is why are they not turning orange
By my guestimate and history of growing autos I would put this plant around 7 weeks in flower. Those leaves are telling me she’s hungry. What’s your feeding routine and lighting intensity Grow Bro
My feeding is every 3rd day water at 6.5ph +Flower Fuel+Mag-cal added with leaves turning yellow.
but i just switched to a two-week straight water flush to the end trying to time it @ 14 weeks which I thought was
max this is the 23rd strain of autos I’ve grown and nothing past 13 weeks.
seeds from ILGM I’ve grown 4 Grape Octane out of same batch, but this plant is doing something I’ve never seen.
Lights are Spider Farmer on 100% now 600 watts total I start at 24-30 inches they are at 10 inches now.
the buds have been the same size (swelling and size) for about 3 weeks they stopped the leaves started turning yellow and after a week which was last week i went into flush but pastels haven’t changed pure white and reaching and trichomes are clear. thanks
Nitrogen is needed from start to finish…I water feed the last week or 2 but go off the trichomes to determine this. I never go off breeder posted start to finish dates, I do start the clock after preflower but only as a guide, I scope the trichomes around week 8 of flower and a meter to set my lighting intensity
Nice grow. I’ve never had a auto go past 14 weeks from seedling. Different strands behave differently there. White Widow, for instance, is named after how her hairs are usually mostly white even at the end of flowering. Don’t go on just pistils alone to determine how ‘done’ it is.
Flower fuel is typically just really heavy P/K. A broader spectrum nute is needed. N is necessary in flower just much less. The micronutes in most nute lines have the proper ratios for each stage. I agree she looks hungry.
That’s not all that I use I also topdress all my autos one time after a month with doctor earth 5-5-5 and just water a couple weeks then start adding complete crop, and slowly go into flower fuel but if not enough I add Humboldt’s Mag-cal towards the end I add just flower fuel and Mag-cal she looks this way from being flushed for a week and a half trying to more or less make her turn to finish I’ve never had one yellowing leaves this much and tricolms stay clear, pistels stay white this long
hello, I try to search for when to stop feeding the plant and found this threads,
Im in late flowering and would like to know which buds or trich stage I should stop feeding my plant? growing in soil and synthetic nutrients.
I’ve read some would say 2 week before harvested and wondering how bud look is 2 week before harvest.
tryna correct my own perspective seeing plant development and not sure about that. Thanks in advance!
I personally feed till the end. Unless they are dead they eat. Not going to get better flowers feeding less food.
I researched this to death for myself. My conclusion is:
Dr Bugbee and other professionals all say, flushing does nothing that couldn’t be accomplished by any stress. If your doing it for taste / harshness, it’s not needed. I’ve done both, no difference.
A little stress triggers the plant to produce more trichomes, good food supply helps. This is why folks are using UV supplement in small doses , to create that stress.
At least thats my understanding.
I water feed when the trichomes are approximately 75% clear leaving roughly 2 weeks to fully ripen which is all cloudy for my taste. Water feed only isn’t required just saves on the nutrients
Tread lightly on stressing a plant during flower, can also create a hermaphrodite
