I have very healthy white widow femenized plants. I’m at 71 days flowering and still no amber tricombs. Well past the 8/9 weeks I expected. Some of the plants only have 50/50 red to white hairs but others are probably 90/10 red to white. Tons of milky white tricombs.
Should I worry?
PS. I split the stem on one plant today. First time. Not for the faint of heart. I used popsicle sticks to hold the cut open.
Pictures with normal light, would help. Sounds like to me they have a ways to go yet before they finish.
Have you included the "transition " time between seedling/veg, Veg/flower? There can be several weeks of transition between grow phases that may through your numbers off. You may be only at 6 to 8 weeks of actual flower.
Welcome to the community! Picture will get you some good feedback.
Welcome to ILGM forum.
That’s a good possibility. Like @Covertgrower said try to put up pics.
I never read anything about a transition time between cycles. I assumed the timing started when I switched the lights from 18/6 to 12/12.
No, its usually 1-2 weeks after the flip to 12/12. When you start seeing little “button” buds.
I’ve had some plants just never amber up, even after 10-12 weeks of flower. You just have to get a feel for when they’re ready. Bud density, pistols, trichomes, lack of growth, they all contribute to that “aha” moment.
Thanks. Still a lot to learn.
I learned to watch them as they start out clear when they turn cloudy I stop feeding nutes and straight pH water for the time it takes for plant to use most the water in bucket
