Ready? Newbie getting close, I think

My guts is telling me another week or so but I just had to ask. Under the jeweler’s lens I’m seeing a couple amber tricombs but I’m not 100%, old eyes and all. Sorry for the images. Did the best I could with my phone and lens. Total newbie still figuring everything out. They getting close? Oh, white widow auto.

Looks like she would continue to bulk up for a few weeks more. Still quite a few white pistils showing.

@HMGRWN two different plants shown in the pictures. They where germinate 4 days apart. As a rule of thumb should most of the pistils be amber?

I start checking trichomes when 90% or more pistils turn dark.

Here is a chart that is shared frequently.

@JaneQP thank you. Going off that information would you consider the first plant around stage 3? (50-70% dark hairs) Ready to harvest or need more time? I’m pretty sure some of the tricholms have started changing amber. The second plant only has a few dark hairs and needs another couple weeks.

You want nearly all those white hairs to turn brown and recede back into the calyx’s then start checking trichomes for cloudy to amber. I think you have probably 3 weeks left.

Maybe more now that I look at it

I am not expert but I would say Stage 2 moving to Stage 3. Remember those top colas will mature faster. I let the top mature more towards the stage four knowing that the lower buds will not be that mature. That mix seems to make the family happy since I harvest the whole plant at once.

You need to find what you like! You can always take a lower bud off the plant and let it dry a few days and try it to see what the high is like. I have also head about microwaving a test bed for a minute.

I don’t use MJ so I am not much help in that respect. I just adjust to the feedback of family and friends.

Best to you!

Id say 2 to 3 week’s on first plant, 3 to 4 on the second. Too many white pistols, that means she is still building bud. When almost all of these turn orange you are close. Things look great tho man, keep up the good work

I think another week for the first plant and i believe another two -three weeks for the other one ,i would just look at ur trichomes properly through a microscope and if there cloudy with some amber its good go but always look at the trichomes on the buds not sugar leaves

She still needs some plumping up. Give them some time. It will be worth it.

Looking at your first image gave me flashbacks to this lol. Look very similar.

MUCH better pictures.(invested in a WiFi microscope) This is my first grow and this by far is my best plant of the 4. One has already died and I harvested the second. Number three is nothing special, pretty much looks like number 2 did before I harvested it. But number 4, I’m in love with this lady and would really want to harvest at the perfect time. What do you guys think? A few more days/week? Or is she ready to turn out the lights for 48 and harvest?

Are they pics of buds on lower branches, too?

@beachglass 27 days later I’d say they are ashes now lol…
