Yield per plant question

Then flip to flower. It’s recovery time of the defoliation will slow vertical growth. Keep tighter node spacing and grow larger colas

How tall did they grow in those pots? And how did you keep your rh between 50-60? I have 2 dehumidifiers, a vent in my closet im growing out of plus and extra intake/exhaust duct fan. And of course 2 fans, one over the leaves and one by the soil. I have the fans on low though so it doesnt blow away the leaves

Youre right though i think the only way is to trim and do the lollipop method.

I manage the air outside of the room and use it as the lung for the room. I’ve got a lot of controllers working together. One to bring air in two take air out One to cool air down, one to heat it up , the rh just happens because I’ve got a 55 gal reservoir in the room also

43 1/2” from base of plant to top of cola. Add 1’ for planter right about 54” from floor to top

Ok i see. So is your reservoir like a huge dehumidifier? I have 2 small dehumidifiers but my rh doesnt go up or down if i turn one off. Do you think its a good idea to put one on the floor? Im confused because my humidity was significantly lower a week ago when my heater was on. (Vent from hvac unit in house). But its on now and isnt making a difference or goving results like before.

Btw, in the future, i might just grow less plants and not trim. But in your opinion, would you think for my setup, doing SOG method and lollipopping would get more yeild then planting like 6 plants and leaving them alone next batch?

I feel like that’s your only resort to growing wild plants. You could lst/manifold/ train plants to stay small and only grow colas as another form of utilizing space

You have been under 12/12 for 3-weeks, correct? Your bud sites will develop very soon. Take a look at my journal from this year. You will see how much I defoliate. Like @PharmerBob it will scare you the first time. Heck I still wonder if I killed them each time I do it. But within a week or so you can’t really tell where it was done. I know since doing it my yields and quality have gone way up. I’m copying a professional grower who does the same method, it’s call schwazzing.

Only a week and a half so perhaps im not patient lol

Thats true. I might test my waters next batch. But for now, definitely taking your advice. Thanks! Time to start trimming!

Yes give it some time :slightly_smiling_face:

How much did you yield from that?

Patience is the biggest thing ive learned lol. And still learning. Buying my first strain when i seen “8 weeks”. I thought that was total time it took from seed to harvest, not just flower time lol.

When starting patience was the hardest thing for me to learn. Now I’ve got my method dialed in and I just let them do their thing. I check them daily, feed/water when needed and abuse them occasionally. My first 4 plants of the year will be chopped Saturday.

When did you plant the seed? Another thing that came to mind is i have my fans on a timer with my light. Only the dehumidifiers run 24 hours. Do you have your fans run 24 hours?

Circulating air fans yes, intake, exhaust and what not are set on controllers with set points.

Just shy of 2 1/2 lbs dry in the 4x4 in 3 months

That is a great yield. It sounds like you have it dialed in. I have constraints that won’t let me control my environment to the level I’d like but I can produce enough for my needs.

That’s all that matters!
