From a fellow grower: Plants have yellow tips on the leaves, please advise.
Just a little heavy on nitrogen, but isn’t really a problem.
Don’t worry about that lower leaf. It is normal for a plant to shed its lower leaves as it matures.
Looks like a bit too much nitrogen is causing a slight magnesium deficiency, the yellow in between the veins gives it away.
This is my very first so I appreciate the help!
Will the yellowing stop or slow if I’ve corrected the issue? Or are the affected leaves done for?
Is this one of those situations where you would use a foliar spray?
Damaged leaves will not heal. New growth should be fine.
Foliar spraying can cause a number of problems and should only be done if absolutely necessary to treat bugs or mold where the plant is at risk.
I only foliar for prevention of mold/bugs or to apply calcium/magnesium. No other real reason for it. Foliar CAN cause issues at times. Best practice indoors is a lights out spray for bugs or calmag. Just my thoughts.
Thanks everyone, I think we’re back on track. Growth is vigorous again and new leaves don’t show the yellowing so far
