Harvested a couple WWA and while trimming I noticed that there were seed pods forming with seed for future use. Did this plant flip on me or is this normal?
It’s normal for a female to produce a few seeds. If it’s more than 8 or 10 seeds, then it was probably a hermie that pollinated itself.
With actual seeds in them? A lot of people mistake female calyxes for seed pods.
Yes, pulled about 6 seeds from what I thought was a calyx forming in corner of branches and ended up with seeds.
I grew two plants in the veg garden last summer from cuttings my son-in-law gave me. Runtz & Oreo Cookies. At the very first sign that the Runtz plant was a male, I yanked that bad boy out. The Oreo Cookie plant wound up with about a half dozen seeds in it. I do wonder why someone gave him a male cutting, though.
They can hermie for a few reasons. Heat/light stress, genetics, and letting her ride too long. Were there other plants in the tent with them?
I’ve grown pounds and pounds of buds over the years, and I’ve only found one seed. I don’t agree it’s normal to find a few seeds.
It appeared that only one had the seeds/pods. There is a couple gold leaf fems in there and haven’t seen any issues with them. They are close to harvest
I’ve yet to grow anybody’s autos that didn’t have a few seeds in them. I stick to photos now.
Only gotten a couple of immature seeds one time in one ILGM seed sourced plant(auto). It developed “nanners” late in flower due to stress.
Been growing some from seeds that came from a hermie(they have never made a seed).
Sweet! Just keep an eye out for nanners or actual male flowers (those buggers hide in plain site and literally appear within the blink of an eye)
