I’m on my first grow of WW photo. in general purpose promix. I started this gal May 15th so I’m pretty sure she is old enough to go to flower. My grow log is “I guess I need to start a journal”.
My question is now that I have gotten most of the veg issues worked out and now I have more time to spend at home, I need some help on transitioning into flower. Kind of a step by step answer. If there’s a topic here in the forum just tell me that.
On my last feed/water I started on a GH 2-2-2 . She is getting a bit thirsty again and would like to know if a flush is first. Put the lights on 12/12 is first. That sort of thing.

@barry1 you are doing a soilless grow, yes? It is recommended that the medium be flushed of salts 3 times during the grow as coco tends to retain salts. Peat is more forgiving in that regard. Still: a flush will not hurt regardless.
If you want to stick with the GH line, they have several including one specific to coco. I’m using the 2 part with KoolBloom and Floralicious in mine.
Some people transition to 12/12 with an extended dark interval but I see that as unnatural and unnecessary. Just go right to 12/12. You can ramp down if it makes you feel better but it won’t matter.

So what are you asking for help with? To switch to flower just put the timer on 12/12 .

Switching to flower is just switching the timer, some people put there plants in dark periods but other than that, just set the timer.

Timer is set to 12/12. Another light installed visibly a lot more red in color. Now if I can just do this without screwing up in another few short months I should have my own smoke. Good or bad I will have learned so very much from being on this site.

It’s been fun.
I don’t think you have to do things in a particular order. Just change your timer, flush and change nutrients to “bloom”. Maybe if you have MH and HPS change to the HPS. Otherwise LED is fine. It might double or triple in height before it is done. That’s why tent growers do SCROG or flower early: To control height.
I keep waiting to get that mythical double and triple height during stretch! I get like 10%.
The ILGM Crystal I am growing definitely doubled. I put a trellis over them (don’t ask why) right before I flipped to 12/12 and they are way over it now.

My NL plant did a little more than doubled. I went 12/12 when it was 21" high and it ended up about 44". I did that because I can’t raise the light much more, so it worked out perfectly.
@Myfriendis410 my GSCX tripled no problem started at 10 in. Finished at ove 3 feet. Even the clones go crazy doing the stretch. But I think that’s a mostly sativa treat even through GSCX is supposedly mostly indica, it still really a hybrid.
